I’ve just passed my driving test all thanks for Hamish, I started doin lessons last year with Hamish and honestly had the greatest of fun, had a great laugh with Hamish and to be honest all round a brilliant instructor, so if ur looking to drive auto go to Hamish with independent driving school best bloke.

Chrissy at The Independent Driving School has been nothing short of amazing as an instructor. Her calm nature and confidence building is what got my son through his lessons and then going in to pass first time. I chose Chrissy as she also taught my eldest son, who also passed first time, so knew she was the lady for the job. I wouldn’t hesitate on recommending this driving school for learner drivers.

I just passed my test after having Hamish as my instructor. He was great and I enjoyed the lessons very much. Definitely recommend especially for automatic lessons!

I went for automatic lessons with Hamish and it was the best. Hamish was a great instructor, very calm, never shouted and always explained things incredibly well. Would absolutely recommend independent driving and Hamish to anyone looking to do an automatic licence.

If you are looking for an automatic driving instructor Jason is definitely the number one choice, he's good with nerves and gaining confidence, I had to start from scratch with him but within the first lesson he already had me checking my mirrors properly, he's very chilled out I curbed his car his words it happens your learning, he is patient and genuinely cares that your learning iv had a lot of instructors and he's the only one that's put me at ease, I can't recommend him enough and I'm going to miss the lessons with him thankfully my husband and teenage children will be using him in the very near future, he helped me pass first time he's honest if he thinks your ready or not which is great so your not wasting money on tests, thank you Jason you've been the best.

I had lessons with Jason and passed first time. He was so helpful especially on test day where I was really nervous. I always looked forward to lessons because they were always fun while still learning. Jason is a great teacher and I would recommend him to anyone looking for lessons.

I passed my driving test today with only 1 minor, first time. Big Thank-you to Adam, brilliant lad and even better driving instructor. Helped me a lot getting out of bad habits and just be an overall better driver. Really easy to have a chat with, which is a bonus. I came across independent driving over a year ago, had other instructors and company’s and I just felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere, just doing very simple manoeuvres, and driving straight roads. I was learning in manual cars at the time and it just wasn’t doing it for me, I know I could drive but the other instructors were putting so much pressure on me I just couldn’t concentrate. After being advised to go for an automatic learning, I sent a message out, I had a message straight away from Hamish, he was absolutely amazing! He really keeps you calm, gets to really know you, a brilliant guy! He was an awesome teacher! Kept me calm at all times and got me to pass with flying colours! Highly recommended company and teacher to come with it.

Learning with independent driving was great, lessons were very effective learning with Matt, building confidence and control in a calm environment, would highly recommend.

Jason was an amazing guy to learn from, couldn’t have passed first time with confidence without him. I will definitely miss the lessons but forever grateful for his support and guidance.

My instructor was incredible at teaching and made it easy to understand as well as a calm environment which made me feel comfortable. My instructor gave me the confidence I needed to pass and helped me understand what needed to be worked on over my last few weeks of lessons, I would definitely recommend my instructor again to anyone who wanted to learn to drive. My advise for anyone learning to drive and feeling nervous about taking their test is to focus on the positives such as what you can do once you have passed. I am so happy I found chrissy as she was amazing and didn’t just help me to drive, I felt comfortable in every lesson as we had laughs and conversations which made me look forward to every lesson.

Adam was a very good driving instructor he always made me laugh during lessons and over the months I drove with him he made sure my driving was absolutely perfect. When my driving test got cancelled he hunted down a new one for me so I didn’t have to wait an extra 2 months which I was very grateful for!

Jason’s the man you need to teach you to drive he’s amazing at his job taught me everything to get me ready for my test and passed top man .

Really enjoyed doing my driving lessons with Adam, Had the most fun and learnt a lot over the months of lessons mad me come a long way and couldn’t done it without him, so happy that I have passed now, but I will definatley miss the lessons that I had.

Adam is a fantastic, reliable instructor. I passed with only three minors and he really helped me get through the test and manage my nerves too!

When choosing Independant driving, one thing I was worried about was having an instructor who would be calm and constructive in aiding me in learning to drive, whether it be with a topic I didn’t understand or a mistake which I could build upon and conquer, Neil effectively and clearly helped me overcome these barriers by breaking them down into steps and ensuring I understood what I was doing and how to be safe on the road. I highly recommend to anyone who is learning how to drive or wants to improve their skills to trust in Neil’s teaching as it allowed me to pass first time with minimal faults and has made me overall a safer driver when faced with a challenge.
