I had the pleasure of having Christine (Chrissy) as my instructor and she was a great help from the first minute, offered to visit beforehand (free of charge) to introduce each other and make sure I was comfortable from the outset. Chrissy was so natural to talk too and put me at ease from the outset, as-well as installing the most confidence in me to be able to pass my test first time with just 20 hours of learning.

I’ve just passed my driving test and couldn’t be happier with the support I got from Matt, he was patient, clear, and genuinely committed to helping me improve every step of the way, making lessons calm, confidence boosting, and enjoyable. I’d highly recommend him and the team at the company to anyone looking for a great driving instructor.

I started my driving journey previously with 2 different instructors from different companies, none of which's teaching methods were beneficial. I then got the privilege to be paired up with Jason Clarke who I have just passed my test with 1 minor. From the get go, Jason made me feel cool, calm and collected on the road. That I am in full control and that there is nothing to be scared of. Jason and I worked together for just under 2 years of which we covered all weathers, manoeuvres, driving experiences and emergency stops. Jason's teaching methods were absolutely amazing, he took the time to learn about me and what worked well for me to get me to my end result. Alongside the brilliant teaching methods, Jason was an all round lovely man, he never made me feel worried or uncomfortable even in the hardest of times, you could really tell he wanted to help me not only pass my test but be as safe as possible when driving. Through our time together, Jason became a friend to me, we had lots of laughs which made me feel 0 pressure when learning to drive. All in all if you need an instructor with patience, amazing teaching methods, a kind heart and a welcoming smile, choose Independent driving, but most of all, choose Jason Clarke. I have just passed my test, after learning with Matt from Independent Driving School! All in all, it has been an enjoyable experience, with all the highs and lows handled well and with an experienced hand. Matt is a thoughtful and experienced driving instructor, who from the start got to know me and my learning style well, accommodating how I best learnt. Matt was consistently engaged in my learning, and I felt safe to relax and learn with his help. Throughout the process, Matt has been a great encouragement to my learning, and I would highly recommend him if you’re looking for an instructor.

A massive thank you to Adam D for teaching me to drive! Learning to drive felt like a huge challenge until I started lessons with Adam at Independent Driving School. I was recommended Independent Driving School by a friend and when I enquired about lessons I realised that they were competitively priced with option of block booking lessons and the flexibility of different times/days worked really well with my timetable. Adam is incredibly patient and understanding, and explains everything in a way that just made sense. He has a real talent for making you feel calm, confident and positive about your progress, I genuinely looked forward to every lesson. I had my automatic driving lessons with Hamish at independent driving school and couldn’t recommend him enough! I was a very nervous driver and he was so patient and understanding with me, and put me at ease very quickly. I have now passed my test and feel confident with my driving, thank you Hamish! :).
