Be aware! Does not even deserve 1 star. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. Firstly they send me a damaged product and when I went to the store to ask for an exchange they asked me to email. I emailed them and got no response so chased it up twice by calling the store. They said they’ll sort it but nothing was done. So had enough of waiting so used the website contact page to ask for a refund and finally received a response. I even sent the original email that I had sent. I spoke with the manager as she thought I could have possibly fabricated the date and time of that email on the basis that they had not received such email on their system. Also because it had already gone past 7 days of their “returns policy”. I even told the manager that I would personally come to the store and show her the email she said she would still not be able to accept that as well as they have not received that email. She made me feel like I was lying about everything.Anyway long story short they denied my refund request and just bluntly stated I would either get an exchange or a voucher. There was no genuine apology or anything given, instead made customers feel degraded. This is by far the most horrible customer service experience I have ever faced, will never ever be buying from here and will never recommend it to anybody.Moreexpand_more
Went in to store to purchase the Camden bedroom set amounting to over £1200. Had my eye on this furniture for a number of months and finally decided to treat myself and purchase. HOWEVER, the woman (sorry can’t call her a lady, ) that served me was very rude and haughty when I asked a couple of normal questions about the furniture, like is there a discount for cash, the display clearance bed is scratched and there is only one bedside table. Her attitude was appalling and condescending. It was almost as if I had to thank her for shopping in the store. Her manner was so disgusting that I left without buying the furniture. Their loss not mine! I have often been in this store looking at pieces and passing on info to friends and family but that will not be happening. To cap it all, when I remarked on her rudeness she then blamed me and said she was the owner when I wanted to complain to a higher authority. I brought a new york corner sofa a week ago and it was delivered last weekend it would have been a tight fit to get through my front door so the delivery drivers suggested that we should remove the feet as not to damage any of my walls or sofa once we did this there was no problem the service I have received today is impeccable I will not hesitate in telling friends and family about the great service I have received from your company today thank you.
Fairly adequate product but absolutely shocking customer service. Purchased a bed and arranged a pick up time for the following week. When assembling the bed my partner and myself noticed a number of pre-drilled holes were missing meaning we couldn't assemble the bed as instructed. Therefore, we had to go back to the Maidstone store for advice. In short, they said this isn't the first time this had happened and told us we'd have to go back home, take down the half assembled bed, package it back up and transport it to another store and pick up a replacement. By the time we'd done so and assembled the replacement, we'd missed out on other plans we had that day which we'd already paid for. I spoke to their customer service who could only offer me £1. 78 compensation, or a credit note, which I politely declined as I don't see why I should further spend in their store when their products aren't constructed to specification? Nevertheless, I followed up with a written letter to further explain the situation and inconvenience HomePlus had put me through, when a person called Martin phoned my mobile during my working hours to explain that they'd done everything they were legally obliged to do and wouldn't be doing any further. He said if I had concerns I should simply return the bed or report them to trading standards. When I tried to explain to Martin the reasoning for my letter, he continued to talk over me and not listen to the customer journey I had experienced when dealing with HomePlus. Not happy brought a 3 peice novella suite 4-5-14 from home plus furniture its ripped underneath all of the chairs on the foot rest . We only noticed by a staple sticking up which caught my dads leg that's how he found them ripped . And home plus won't do nothing about it only had it a year padding gone flat in foot rest and arms. Won't buy from them again!
Customer Service non existent. Delivery did not happen when arranged not advised. No telephone calls until I rang first. Two letters of complaint sent to HO not replied to. Manager at Dockside Store unhelpful. Purchase was Novella black with grey cord 3 + 2 suite from Dockside Store.
We bought the Ripon bedroom range around 6 months ago. It is top top quality. I cannot stress enough how happy me and my wife are with all the furniture. The solid oak is faultless and so sturdy. We highly recommend the company too as their delivery times were spot and and the guys who delivered the furniture were carefull when taking it all up to the bedroom. 5 stars all round. Can't wait to get the dining table and chairs and the living room furniture!
Ordered Canterbury oak 2 x cabinets and console table in store very good BUT DELIVERY SERVICE LET YOU DOWN BADLY told delivery between 9 and 1 o clock turned up at 3 o clock when you pay £15 for delivery you expect it to turn up on time in saying that good quality items and I would have no hesitation in purchasing again sue Aldington kent.
Very pleased with the vancouver oak CD/DVD bookcase, good and sturdy, only thing that seems a shame is that the shelves are completely fixed and not adjustable. Also very pleased with Homeplus, impressed with both the customer service: I had a fast, friendly and useful response to an e-mail query, and the speed with which the bookcase was delivered: just under a week after ordering.
Homeplus Furniture is a very unprofessional company. Their customer service and home delivery is very appalling. I recently bought Canterbury Oak Extending Dining Table with 4 Chairs. 2 of my chairs and the table were damaged. They did not hesitate to exchange it for me but I had to chase them and make few calls, took about a month in total. Their response and communication was very slow. I had to reschedule my party and had to take 2 days off for their delivery which had to be done in 2 separate days. I didn’t get any apologies for the inconvenience caused. Next time I would spend £50 more and buy it from DFS or Debenhams at least I would get good customer service.Moreexpand_more
I tried to order three items on the Web (desk, chest of drawers and blanket box)on 22/10/11 but the site would not accept more than one item for delivery. I then ordered these items by phone on 24th. I was told delivery would be in two days time. Eight days later (after phoning every day)I found the delivery would be the following week. It seems to be staffed by inexperienced people who don£t know the first thing about customer service and care even less. The Managing Director promised me a £50 discount note off my next purchase, but this has never arrived. I was not surprised as I did not receive any order confirmation, invoice, or delivery note either! There was minor damage to all three items but after all the hassle I could not face sending the goods back. Appalling service.
