We needed the lock repairing on our upvc patio doors, repair was done same day, Layton was really knowledgeable and thorough, really pleased with the job. Decided to have handles replaced at the same time, again a great job and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

I picked Fletcher Locks because of the good reviews and am very happy I did so. Paul is a very friendly and efficient man who advised me on the best lock for a very old wooden door, with regard to both security and ease of use. The price was very reasonable, included two keys, and Paul brought me a further two for less than it would have cost to have copies made. Having experienced a very poor emergency call-out replacement in the past (the wrong model was fitted and worked its way loose), I would have no hesitation in recommending Fletcher Locks.

Door lock barrel needed changing because I had lost the spare key somewhere. Paul was great - travelled down to Newcastle centre without complaints (where others would have whinged! ) He was timely and polite with all communication verbal and by text/telephone, he was flexible with times etc (I needed the work done quickly). The work was done very quickly and efficiently, and he even picked up on the fact the door was sticking a little (I had gotten used to this and didnt notice anymore) and fixed this for me - everything is working much more smoothly now without my needing to pull on the door to lock or unlock it. He was very friendly and approachable - recommend +++.

Had front lock changed and extra security features fitted on front and back doors. Also an internal door lock fiitted. All this done in a timely manner by a very nice gentleman at a very good price. I would definitely recommend and will use again if ever required.

Scary when you are on you way home at 2am and discover you have lost your house keys. Luckily the taxi driver had fletcher Locks number in his mobile phone and let me sit in his cab until the locksmith arrived. Paul was out within 10 mins and advised me to change both door locks for safety reasons. Job done and I was safely in my bed for 3am, thats what I call good service nothing was to much trouble for Paul and not forgeting the taxi driver. Very considerate price for a job well done. I now have Fletcher Locks number in my mobile and carry their trade card in my ba in case clumsy me looses my mobile. Thanks again to these two knights in shiny armour.

Fletcher Locks fitted two suited mortice locks and a blanking plate to a hardwood door. They turned up on time, charged what they quoted and did a good job. I'd definitely recommend them.

I was very impressed with Fletcher Locks! I was having a great deal of trouble with My back door, I popped into Fletcher Locks shop in Fulwell. I made an appointment with Fletcher Locks. The Locksmith who called was called Paul He was very polite and well manned. All the work was done at a very high standard, he even swept up after himself. My front door wouldn't lock and I called Fletcher Lock and safe Co. Someone was round really promptly and was able to fix the lock there and then. After reading the BBC news article on "bumping" and "snapping" of cylinder locks I invited a few local locksmiths to come and quote to replace the locks in my house over 5 of them. Of all of the firms I invited Fletcher Locks were by far the best (which was the most important for me) and they were also the cheapest. Fletcher Locks were the only firm to offer free advice on my general security telling me where to save money and not bother changing/upgrading hardware, the others just wanted to do the job there and then. Fletcher Locks also inspected all of my dead locks to confirm if they were the correct current British Standard I didn’t even know that insurance firms request that the deadlocks on the external doors had to be the latest standard. Mine were over two versions out of date and thus could have invalidated my insurance! Great serviced very professional helpful and the best competitively priced firm I engaged. Very trust worthy and professional with a long history of trading unlike some of the cowboys out there! Would use time and time again! GREAT JOB!

Service was swift, explained beforehand what the job entailed, and quoted and charged a fair price. Also fitted good quality locks with a years guarantee. Checked our rear patio doors and gave us free advice on how to repair them.

Paul installed digital door locks for our front door and all our guest bedrooms. We are really pleased with them, fitting was very quick and we are happy with the model of door lock he recommended for heavy business use.

Some excellent security pointers and an option to knock off the cost of the original job should I then choose to upgrade my repaired (and ancient! ) lock at a later date. Very pleased with an undoubtedly professional service.

The engineer who came was very friendly. He arrived on time and he charged exactly what he quoted me. The service i though was pricey but he was the lowest priced locksmith in the Sunderland area that i called, to replace a lock on a PVC door due to lost keys. But saying that the job was completed to a high standard and left 3 keys, it was worth every penny.

A few years ago the locking mechanism and handle lock on our patio door (tilt and slide) pretty much gave way. A locksmith out of the yellow pages came out but basically after taking the handle out didn't like the look of the job and could only secure the door for us. The door was actually only partly secured at that. Having called Fletcher Lock and Safe Co we were reassured to learn that it could be fixed and the lad took his time to explain the system how it worked and how it could be repaired. Once the requisite part was obtained the door was fully restored to working order. Excellent friendly service.
