Fix My PC

I have been using Fix My PC for a number of years. I have put up with the sarcastic comments and condescending attitude of the company owner, Jon Frost for all this time, but have bit my tongue and said nothing because on the whole he has usually been able to fix any computer problems I have had. This last experience, however was the final straw. I rang Fix My PC to ask for assistance to be met with the usual sarcastic comment about my computer competence by Jon Frost; I took the computer in question in for repair to him, to be told that it was on its last legs; I asked what the problem was and was told it was too technical for me to understand. He then proceeded for reasons unknown to remove some parts of the computer that were holding certain components in place, and messed around with them. He installed Windows 10 Home Version instead of Pro; I tried to tell him on the initial call that I would bring the Pro installation disk and key with me, but was rudely interrupted and told to bring nothing but the computer. He said that certain parts of the computer would probably fall off by the time I returned the computer home. Upon arriving home, connecting the computer and booting it, I had major issues with it and so I shut it down and took the side panels off to find that the removal of the items mentioned in the last paragaph had caused the issues. When I switched the computer on again, it would not boot. I paid sixty pounds for this. I took the computer to another company; the owner spent several days making sure the computer was working again, did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro and installed several missing drivers that have enhanced its performance. It is now working well again. The problem that Jon Frost said was serious and too technical for me to understand was a simple driver issue that was rectified in a matter of seconds. I have never left a negative review before but feel compelled to write about my experiences with this man. The diagnosis over the phone was a failing hard disc. My PC was picked up and returned 24 hrs later with a new hard drive. It now works perfectly. I couldn't get any internet access yesterday so I called John and his team, my computer was also ready for a 'spring clean'. I dropped the computer off and it was. Ready and working later that afternoon. Great service once again at a reasonable cost. I never take my computer problems anywhere else. I recommend to all my patients.

Jon installed a new router. Next day it failed following a power cut. Jon came round within 10 mins of me phoning and fixed it. Can't ask for better service than that.

Having used them for several years I can give them my highest recommendation for fast, friendly, knowledgeable service at a very fair price.

I am in the process of upgrading my gaming pc. I'm a 70 year old surfer…so the first step has been to fit a new graphics card…they've done a sterling job and they've been sympathetic and understanding throughout the process… and the charge was more than reasonable…these cats really know what they're doing.

Having just set up a new business things have been very hectic but I have been so lucky to have had Jon and his team to sort out all things domain related with great efficiency. I have not had to worry about a thing as Fix My PC get on with things in the background and the results are great.
