En:mapping is a GIS consultancy providing specialist support and expertise for the UK environmental sector and other industries. En:mapping provide tailored services in data management, mapping, analysis, modelling and reporting.
En:mapping are a professional and independent company with an array of experience in the application of GIS to address ecological and demographic questions both within the UK and further afield.
En:mapping's aim is to assist the client in making the spatial connection between data and the real world, so the client can present data visually to specialist partners or a non-technical audience.
Recent projects include:
- Updating the Natural England BAP inventory
- Creating a theoretical model of landscape connectivity in the Durham Magnesian Limestone Plateau
- Updating the Peak District National Park Natural Zone and Section3 boundary map
- Study of ecosystem services at a large conservation trust in the UK.
En:mapping specialises in ArcGIS and programming in python, and has experience in MapInfo and Grass.
En:mapping has an expanding customer base, based in the local area, including Natural England, Access Ecology, Total Ecology, Durham County Council, North Pennines AONB, Peak District national Park, University of Sheffield, Torc Ecology.
The company is managed by Mark Parnell who has been focusing on the GIS consultancy trade for almost 10 years. Having previously worked for Defra, University of Birmingham and University of Sheffeild, Mark Parnell and the team are more than qualified to manage the any GIS project.
