Elegance Music - Music for All Occasions

I have been attending violin lessons at Elegance Music now for over one year and I cannot emphasise enough the difference it makes to having the right teacher. I have had violin lessons in the past but had to give them up as I don’t read music as it’s a completely alien concept to me, my brain just doesn’t work like that. James, Richard and kathryn are absolute geniuses. Not only are they extremely professional at their jobs but they are also empathetic to the needs of their students – this is based on my own personal experience. James found a way to help me understand and play music by using numbers instead of notes which made perfect sense to me, and the big penny finally dropped! Every week we start with a friendly chat which allows him to tailor the lesson around my ability for that day and inevitably I achieve more. I cannot recommend James and the team enough to anyone wishing to take up playing an instrument or singing lessons, regardless of age or ability. It’s the best part of my week! .

We have just purchased a digital piano from Elegance Music and received first class customer service throughout the process. When we first visited their shop, James was friendly, helpful and explained everything clearly enabling us to choose exactly what we wanted. As well as supplying a piano James also found a good home for our old acoustic piano. He then arranged to deliver our new piano and take the old one away. The piano was then installed at our home by James and we are delighted with it. For anyone wanting something musical I would highly recommend you visit Elegance Music. On behalf of myself and my wife I would like to say thank you to James for playing the violin at our wedding. Il be honest Instrumental music has never been on my list of genres, but when we attended a wedding fair, James was playing one of the many thousand songs he knows off by heart, I turned to my then fiancée who was crying, and we both agreed we had to have him. From the first enquiry to the actual day James was in regular contact, changing details was done with minimum hassle. He even invited us up to his shop where he played numerous songs for us to help us decide which ones to have. A true gentleman and professional and I would recommend his services to anyone requiring them.

We booked James at Elegance Music to play the violin at our wedding. He was so helpful in the run up to our wedding and spent time playing any songs that we were thinking of, to help us decide. Nothing was too much trouble and we were blown away by how brilliantly he could play. All of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Elegance Music again and would most definitely recommend.

Offered a fantastic service throughout from making our unique choice of songs to play right down to ringing to make sure he had the order of when to play things right. On our wedding day it really made for a special atmosphere in the ceremony and he played everything beautifully!

We chose Elegance Music for our wedding in July 2015 and couldn't have been happier with the service, cost and quality of performance. James provided the music for our Church wedding in Sheffield (Both the music for guests arriving, while signing the register and for the walk down the aisle. He was absolutely terrific. The flexibility we had in literally choosing any songs we wanted (including showaddywaddy) and James delivered each one with the same distinct style and air of class we were hoping for. James and Jemma played at the wedding of my daughter and her (now) husband. I tend to be at quite a few weddings and I can honestly say that I have never heard such all round, unanimous praise and enthusiasm for the quality of the music played. Top rate!

James and Jemma are both incredibly talented musicians, able to accommodate pretty much any musical taste and customise tracks to the situation. I have seen James play (on the violin) Annie's song at a funeral and nothing else matters (Metallica) at a wedding and adapt both from their original form to one suitable for the particular occasion. And also stylise the music in his own way to retain the charm of the original in a new piece of music. Incredibly talented, professional and yet able to modestly "hide away" to ensure the spotlight and attention remains firmly in the right place (i. E. With the bride and groom). I have already booked for my wedding and now have the difficult task of deciding what music to have played-a task made no easier by the fact this pair can accommodate pretty much any song ever written!

As a lover of all music and a frequent concert goer, I can confidently say that the two songs played by James and Gemma at Saturday's wedding were as good as any gig I have been to recently. The versions of What a Wonderful World and Metallica's 'Nothing Else Matters' were both beautiful and moving. I would gladly pay to see James and Gemma perform some of my favourite songs. I would thoroughly recommend them to play at whatever event you are thinking of holding. I am sure that anyone who hears them would come away with their music still playing in their ears and hearts.
