Honestly I can’t recommend driveJohnson’s enough. From start to finish my experience with them has been amazing. I turned 17 in May 2025 and like most people I was desperate to get on the road as soon as possible. After hearing so many good things from family and friends, I booked myself onto a 30 hour course with Tom in Leighton Buzzard. Just a few months later I’ve passed my test first time and I’m absolutely buzzing. The main reason I went straight to driveJohnson’s is because of their track record. Both my sisters learnt with them and they both passed first go. That gave me loads of confidence even before I started. On top of that, I’ve got five mates who all had lessons with driveJohnson’s, and every single one of them passed first time too. When you hear stories like that from people you actually know, it makes the choice pretty easy. Learning with Tom was honestly brilliant. He’s a proper calm instructor, never made me feel stressed or under pressure. If I messed something up, he just explained what went wrong in a way that made sense and gave me another go. The lessons were relaxed but at the same time he always made sure I was improving. He pushed me when I needed it but also kept the whole experience enjoyable. I never once dreaded a lesson – in fact, I looked forward to them. The 30 hour intensive course worked perfect for me. At first I thought it might be a bit full on, but it was exactly the right amount. We covered everything – roundabouts, dual carriageways, manoeuvres, parking – all step by step so nothing felt rushed. By the time my test came round I knew I was ready. On the day, Tom kept me calm and gave me loads of confidence, and I came out with a first-time pass which felt unreal. Even the booking process was smooth. The office staff got everything sorted quickly, no hassle, no confusion. Everything about driveJohnson’s felt professional and organised but at the same time really friendly. I know loads of people say learning to drive can be stressful, but with these guys it really wasn’t. It was actually fun and I felt like I was making progress every single lesson. With my sisters, my friends and now me all passing first time, it’s clear driveJohnson’s know exactly what they’re doing. So yeah, if you want a driving school that’s reliable, easy to deal with, and actually gets you passed, I’d 100% recommend driveJohnson’s. Honestly can’t thank driveJohnson’s enough, especially my instructor Mat from Stevenage. I’d already failed twice with Bill Plant and was starting to think driving just wasn’t for me. Switched over to driveJohnson’s, got paired with Mat, and passed first time with him! Mat was honestly amazing. Super calm, patient and just made everything way easier to understand. If I was struggling he’d explain it in a different way until it clicked, never got annoyed or made me feel stupid. He knew exactly what I needed to work on and didn’t waste time on stuff I already felt fine with, which I really appreciated. The lessons were actually enjoyable too which I didn’t think I’d ever say about driving . I used to dread lessons before but Mat made me feel comfortable and confident every time. Even when I made mistakes he just stayed positive and kept me going. DriveJohnson’s overall were easy to book with and really reliable, but Mat is the main reason I passed. Keith gave me confidence and showed me where I was going wrong without making me feel bad. His lessons was structured but also fun, and I actually looked forward to them. He didn’t just teach me to pass the test, he taught me how to be a good driver for life. The results speak for themselves – I passed first time with driveJohnson’s, and it happened so much quicker then I expected. Honestly I feel like the best driver now thanks to Keith. If your looking for a driving school that really cares about your progress, I would 100% recommend driveJohnson’s. I don’t usually bother with reviews, but passing first time with John at driveJohnsons in just 18 hours defo deserves a mention. Most people I no have had 30, 40 lessons (some even more), and I ended up passing quicker then it takes them to get the hang of the clutch. Right from the start John new what he was doing. No wasting time with pointless “drive round the block” stuff - every lesson was planned out, proper usefull and straight to the point. Within a few sessions I was driving confident like I’d been doing it for ages. Confidence? Thru the roof. Knowledge of the test routs? Bang on. Teaching style? Strait up, no sugar coating, which is exactly what worked best for me. John gave me the right tools to smash the test first go, and that’s exacly what I did. The driveJohnsons system makes the whole proccess easy as well - booking lessons is simple and the app’s full of handy resources.
