I completely agree with Sara McClintock. I purchased a mattress during covid-19. Initially the service was good with quick delivery etc. Unfortunately my circumstances changed very dramatically and I no longer needed the mattress. It hadn’t even been taken out of the box. Approximately 3 months had passed. I requested any kind of return/refund on at least 3 occasions. I even suggested around £100 for me as the mattress had cost around £450. Each time I was point blank refused. In a very curt manner. I pointed out that competition mattress sellers even offer free home trials for example 100 days and this mattress hadn’t even been unboxed. They still would not even come to any sort of agreement. I would highly recommend buying a mattress ANY WHERE ELSE as the aftercare here is non existent if you need to return your mattress in my experience It is a shame as I have always tried to support local businesses I am so disappointed by the way discount beds treated me.Moreexpand_more
I purchased a bed last July ‘ corona low end single ‘ after four days my bed had broken due to one of the posts only having one hole as apposed to two and obviously could not support the frame. I was left without a bed for over two weeks ( reason I was given was… That the suppliers only delivered once a week and. It was also the July fortnight) I did not complain and was more than amicable, eventually the part arrived which was reassembled and then one of the slats broke/ snapped, (again it was fixed by a joiner) and the third time the side panel just cracked and fell to the floor, so I propped it up AGAIN with apparatus that is now ruined and again left without a bed for 9 days. I am by no means over weight nor do I have kids jumping on the bed. I felt the service was very Blaise and not once did I get an apology, maybe if I’d been a bit more firm it would have been a different story. I was also asked to pick the part up as I wasn’t home for it being dropped off. Also told that I would not get a refund if it faltered again as it would only be a replacement part( even though it is still within the 12 month warranty) also told that due to COVID times were hard. I’m a very patient person and respect all Buisness people wether it be retail, suppliers, health profession. My thought is if you sell a product that falters then stand by it and talk to your suppliers and rectify the fault, not reprimand your customer and if you are able to trade during COVID then feel fortunate if that is the case. Imagine you guys were sleeping on the floor for x amount of days. I was more than polite and accommodating. Very disappointed.Moreexpand_more
Excellent company. Telephoned from Scotland to have an orthopedic bed delivered to her Belfast address. Delivered on the day arranged, removed her old bed and set up her new one. She was delighted and so am I. A very trustworthy reliable company with excellent products. Good job well done guys and a big thanks! Graeme.
I needed a new mattress as I was waking with pain in my lower back every morning. I don’t trust superstores like Dreams who have a constant ‘sale’ so looked at Argos. They had a 1000 pocket sprung mattress at £250 (which was reduced from £500) with delivery 2 weeks later and a £9 charge to add. I really wanted to see what I was getting before I bought it and preferred to give a local shop the business. I went to Discount Beds on Saturday afternoon, explained to Neill that I had back pain and needed a new mattress. I had thought an orthopaedic one would be best but he suggest pocket sprung explaining that was what he had and it had helped his back problem. I bought the HoneyB Opal 14000 spring mattress for £260 which was delivered on Wednesday and I am happy to say that since then I have had no back problems. I would heartily recommend Discount Beds to everyone!
