Ian is an excellent driving instructor. I felt so confident and prepared for my test, and even manage to pass on my first attempt! Would highly recommend Coastal Driving.

I am a nervous driver! I had previously had a lot of lessons with another instructor who made me more nervous! Ian is nothing like that. He is patient, calm, understanding and pleasant to get along with during the lessons. Although my nerves got the better of me in 2 tests I passed my 3rd test Ian was nothing but supportive and understanding during this time. I highly recommend Coastal Mini Driving School 10/10.

Really knowledgeable instructor who got me through to passing very quickly! (2-3 weeks! ). Explained things in a way I was able to understand and put me at ease as someone who is a very anxious driver. Will be doing a pass plus in the future to build my motorway confidence. Very flexible and a good communicator too. Highly recommended.

Overall, Ian is a very good instructor with a great car to learn in. Some lessons have to be rearranged at short notice, but he is fine when you wish to do the same. I would recommend him to anyone in the Southport area.

Ian is amazing! SO patient with my 18 year old son, explains everything clearly and calmly. This was the main reason I chose him. Gabe really enjoyed learning with him and he passed FIRST TIME! My instructor was Ian Wookey, and I would like to say that I was fortunate to get him as my instructor. He was very professional and understanding. He helped me understand the common mistakes, rules etiquettes in driving and was very reasonable. Ian allowed me to book lessons with him with only a week left until my test. I am not local to Southport and I wanted to learn the test routes. His lessons were very efficient, he went over the main things and the test routes in just four lessons. I wouldn’t have been able to pass without his help. I definitely recommend him!

Very good reliable and friendly instrutor, only took me 4lessons to pass my driving test after failed the previous one, I would strongly recommend anyone who wants to have driving lessons.

Ian was beyond Helpful I couldnt be more grateful for his assistance. I was caught in a bind with 5 days until my practical and my existing instructors car suddenly out of action. Ian made the effort and really came through booking in a few hours last minute aswell as the test and it was amazing. In the 3 hours I spent with Ian I learnt more than having spent 10 times that with other People, his approach to training, was very positively reinforcing, with his binder of reference images and just his general atittude could not be under stated. Not only teaching you how to drive but also the true reasoning and theory behind why you need to do the actions you do, his instruction is very thorough and made easy to follow/understand. I would recommend Ian Very Highly to anyone who wants the best training they can get, Great rates and Definatley 1 of the best out there. Cant Thank Ian enough for accomodating me at the last second.
