I’m Mary Ness and I am a patient at this practice for a few years. I have been chasing the manager and the owner about their practice insurance. They emailed me a couple of months ago stating that they refused to provide this. I told them by law they have to. Eventually, they hesitantly gave me the name of Axa insurance. I contacted Axa and they confirmed that this practice is NOT insured with them! This is shocking that the owner and the manager are lying about this. All businesses legally need to have liability insurance and I cannot make a claim against one of their previous dentists without this. Really unprofessional and dishonest of them not to provide the insurance details and in the end give me a false one!I have emails to prove this and I have taken this up with the authorities. Stay away in my opinion. The practice have confirmed I am a patient with them as they have discussed this insurance thing with me over the phone and several emails with no success. Even the NHS advised me the practice have to give me the insurance details. Genuine review here for people to know. I am just sick of these guys wasting my time and lying to me constantly even in writing. Maybe this will get them to send me the correct insurance details. You then said AXA. I have an email from AXA stating you are not insured with them ‘at the time’ like you say. I’ve now left this with NHS and also the dental regulation team. RESPONSE To YOUR COMMENTS:1. I fully understand that public liability doesn’t cover clinical. I explained that I cannot get hold of the DENTIST that used to work at your practice and citizens advice bureau told me that your practice has a legal requirement to have vicarious liability. Malpractice insurance. You would not provide this. 2. I did use your complaints procedure and spoke to Cheney (your manager). She said that the owner was very angry and she is in a lot of trouble for this. From the sound of her voice she was scared She told me a couple of other things and I feel bad for her and clearly she’s being controlled. 3. I have an email reply to my complaint-where the owner has stated that ‘ We cannot discuss this matter any further’. So how can you now say I didn’t follow the complaints procedure. 4. EVIDENCE. I have attached proof that I complained to the practice. I have also attach proof that the practice owner and the manager stated they are insured with Axa when they are NOT! Liars. Went to the Huddersfield Edgerton dental clinic today to have 2 teeth extracted. Was feeling very nervous, however the dentist I saw Dr Dorcrat and the nurse Ellie made me feel very comfortable. Dr Dorcrat was very reassuring through the whole process, he even played some ABBA music which was a great distraction Thank-you!
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Aisha Al-Salam, and so did my two children. We’re so happy to have her back as our family dentist! She is incredibly careful and professional. During my root treatment, I initially thought my tooth needed to be removed, but she advised me to try the root treatment instead. I’m so grateful I took her advice because now my gums are no longer swollen after the cleaning. Her expertise, patience, and gentle care made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled, caring, and trustworthy dentist!
My husband came to have a tooth extraction on 5th February. He has not had a problem after and due to being on blood thiners he was worried about bleeding. He didn't have any and he said he had no pain after. The dentist he saw was lovely and pleasant and put him at ease. Highly delighted with the service. Many thanks.
