Chilled Driving Tuition

Great driving school, just passed my manual driving test and have had a great experience learning throughout.

I booked my son (Bayley) the recommended 50 hours driving course - weekly lessons followed by the week intensive course. I can honestly say Will M was absolutely brilliant. My son thoroughly enjoyed every lesson with him. Thanks to Will his confidence increased week on week, along with his skills and because of this he passed first time! Thank you once again Will and we’ll see you in three years when my daughter starts learning!

I learning to drive after I finished my Master's degree due to being in walking distance of everything, at the time felt I didn't need to learn to drive. However, after graduating I learned quickly how much easier it would be being able to drive. It meant I could go anywhere in the UK for a job and a car was gonna get me there. After I passed my theory, I went on a 30 hour driving intensive course with Paul. I had already had some driving experience through driving with my granddad as passenger. However, before the course I had not yet learned how to park and was not confident in various areas of driving. After 30 hours with Paul I improved significantly and attempted a mock test with Shaun. Unfortunately, my nerves got the best of me and I failed the mock. Shaun recommended completed another 15 hours of lessons. I was able to book one lesson a week until my test. Thankfully, my first lesson was with Shaun because I could redeem myself and prove that I am a better driver than my mock showed. I also had James for a couple of lessons before having Paul again for my last lesson, the night before my test. I PASSED with zero minors first time. I was absolutely thrilled. Paul, Shaun and James are amazing instructors. They are easy to get on with and you end up enjoying the experience. Doing an intensive course was excellent for getting comfortable with the car, roads and maneuvers. The mock test included in the course was extremely helpful because I learned that I get nervous in exam conditions, even in a car. It also highlighted an mistakes that you may make under stress and where you driving skill level is before doing the actual practical test. Having extra lessons with different instructors polished any errors I made in the mock and anything I was unsure of. Shaun is very good at acting as a driving examiner, which gave an idea on what to expect in the test but in the lessons he is very nice and he helped with quite a few things and even said that it was simply just my nerves that were the problem. James was absolutely hilarious, which I believe got me out of my nerves because he made the lessons fun. I also struggled to park before having lessons with him but with James it became easy. It was great to start and finish the exercise and test with Paul. I was allowed to have him with me in the test, which felt very reassuring. In conclusion, I would recommend to anyone Chilled Driving Tuition. The admin team are very helpful. The driving instructors are amazing at what they do. They are great with people, and they are great instructors. The money is worth it and spending the money for extra lessons paid off because it meant I could pass first time with zero minors. I just passed my automatic driving test first time with no minors! It's all thanks to Steve M who was so patient with me on my intensive lessons. I am known to overthink and worry a lot and he knew all the right things to say to handle any of my wobbles. He is also super friendly and a good laugh which helps to calm any nerves. Chilled Driving is the way to go! I was very nervous at the start, however I am now a confident driver and managed to pass with no minors. Chilled is patient and consistent!

Chilled are an excellent driving school and my instructor Steve B got me a first time pass with no driving faults. He provided a relaxed learning environment and explains logically and clearly. Would 100% recommend!

Chilled are a great driving school to learn with. My instructor Shaun P was excellent. He was patient, supportive, calm and a great teacher. It is so easy to book lessons and the price is reasonable. I have really enjoyed my lessons and passed my test because of the excellent approach from Shaun and chilled. They have helped me to become a safe and confident driving who really enjoys driving.

Passed my driving test first time after around 30 hours of lessons with Chilled Driving. Paul was my main instructor and was great throughout. I also had lessons with Dan and Alan who were both really helpful and nice guys. They were flexible and managed to fit me in for another lesson just before my test which was really helpful. Everyone knew what they were doing and gave me the confidence I needed to pass. Would definitely recommend Chilled Driving to anyone learning to drive.

‘Chilled’ is the word! Walter is now a safe, relaxed and confident driver. If you want no fuss and excellent service both from admin and instructors I would thoroughly recommend using Chilled Driving for you youngsters lessons and test.

I booked a Chilled intensive 30 hours driving course for my son Mason after a recommendation from a friend who had used Chilled to teach their son to drive. The booking process was simple and easy to arrange suitable dates around Masons college commitments. Marco was Masons allocated instructor and I have to say we can’t praise him enough. He has helped and guided Mason to be a confident, careful driver and I couldn’t be more impressed. He has just passed his test with no minors which I think speaks volumes about Marco as an instructor. The only negative about learning to drive right now is the chaos that is the new rules around booking a test - that’s not Chilled’s fault… but I can confirm that with lots of perseverance cancellation slots do pop up and we got lucky! Thank you again Marco and the Chilled team!

Just like to say thank you to James at chilled driving, for being a great instructor to my son James, James done the intense course and passed after 35hrs driving We first met James at the chilled driving experience at RAF Coltishall, were I booked James a 1hour long experience where James was accessed, then when he turned 17 he had his intense course and passed, I would like to thank James and the team for all their help going through the process x.

I had Danny Meier for my driving instructor and he was brilliant. I passed first time because of how professional and a great teacher he was! I couldn’t recommend him and chilled enough. I felt comfortable the whole time and was great to have good conversations every lesson! 100% book Danny Meier and chilled. Thank you.

Can't recommend Chilled enough. From the first phone call to passing my test just 20 hours of tuition later, the whole experience was spot on. I'd already been on the road for years riding motorbikes, but I'd never driven a car before booking with Chilled. With that in mind, the lady on the phone was a huge help patiently discussing what the right option could be for me, and we went ahead and booked my first 10 hours of weekly lessons. I turned up to my first lesson not knowing what to expect, and it was a positive surprise when I met my instructor. Dan was always patient, easy to get on with, and knew exactly when to have a laugh and when to stop me from doing something stupid. The best part of his teaching was that he wasn't just following a plan, each lesson was tailored to what I personally needed to work on next. I loved how often he would throw me into something new, so long as I was comfortable, helping me make quicker and better progress by not wasting time on practicing things I didn't need to. Dan always gave me good insight about my progress, and soon into our second set of 10 hours he dropped a massive bombshell on me. He gave me an opportunity to move my test date from over 3 months away to just 3 weeks away. Insisting it was my call to make, but letting me know he thought I was capable, we talked about it and I decided to go for it. Suddenly, I was being put into my mock test with Chilled after only 14 hours of tuition. I took my mock with Shaun C, who explained what to expect and gave me a moment to get myself ready before we set off. Unforunately, I failed the mock in the last minute because I cocked up my parking manoeuvre. I knew exactly what I'd done wrong the moment I did it, but Shaun clearly and constructively explained how I messed up and gave me a few other pointers. In spite of that, he insisted there was no reason I should wait any longer for my test, and said if I was still happy to bring my date forward that I should. After practicing lots of parking with Dan in the remaining hours I had with him, we both felt confident that I was ready. Flash forward to test day, I pulled off a flawless test. I said Dan could sit in the back seat, and after the test both of us agreed that it never looked in doubt!The thing I liked most about Chilled was that it never felt like they were dragging the process out for the sake of it. Once Dan knew I was ready, he wanted me to get my licence as soon as possible. He told me it was a big credit to me that I learned as quickly as I did, but it was an even bigger credit to him that his teaching was effective and flexible enough to help me pull it off. If you're looking for instructors who know their stuff, have a good laugh with you, and genuinely want you to pass rather than rinse you, I'd 100% recommend Chilled. Before driving with chilled I was a very nervous driver due to past instructor expiriances, I went with james and I honestly couldnt fault him he is amazing, our lessons where always fun and he always put a smile on my face this then made driving so much more enjoyable and regained my confidence in myself, I cant thank him enough and all of chilled for the expirence I have had it was truly amazing. Thank you so much james.

Manual Intensively Chilled, ~69 Hours Tutored, 0 Private Driving. Lesson durations: 5 hours, (2. 5-4. 5, instructors can be flexible). Vehicle: 2026 Audi A1 (Manual). Instructors: Simon, Will, Martyn. Passed First Time: 4 Minors. Insightful, Practical and Theoretical Learning in a relaxed learning environment with Air conditioning! As soon as you make a call, or send them an email to get yourself signed up, the Chilled Team are tailoring a course to suit your driving experience. When you've booked your hours and meet your instructor you get to sit behind the steering wheel of an Audi or Ford (Depending on your booking).Though I had prior driving experience with Chilled a few years back, I needed to relearn the basics with Simon as it had been some time since I drove. You'll be assessed usually for your first hour of driving and are constantly assessed and taught as you go. Bookings for 2026 can be quite rough as Chilled is incredibly popular to learn with, so instructors can change. For the rest and majority of my hours I was taught by Will and Martin, who both have many years of driving pretty much anything that has two or more wheels. Will and Martyn are incredible tutors who will get you in the right mindset for learner driving with their humour, patience and knowledge. The Mock Test by one of the senior instructors can seem quite harsh, but it is there to see if you can drive to the standard they are teaching you. It was incredibly insightful. You may get more hours suggested, take them! Iron out those habits!Try and get yourself a lesson in before the day of your test to just get the last bits of preparation in!If you book the use of the instructor's car on the day of the test, you get roughly 40 minutes as a warm up as you drive to the test centre, depending on road conditions.
