About CDTS Cousins Driver Training Services

My goal is to provide first class instruction, safely, whilst remaining fully committed to meeting my pupils needs and expectations to produce the best possible results at a pace which is tailored to the individuals needs.

CDTS is a BSM franchised driving school based in Loughborough which is owned and operated by Roy Cousins (ADI). As a BSM franchise, CDTS, via the BSM brand, can offer expert assistance with your initial interest, bookings and any general enquiries you may have over the telephone and on line seven days a week. Having this call centre support means that, should I not be able to personally answer your enquiry immediately, there is always an alternative point of contact available to you the customer.
About me Roy Cousins, (ADI) the driving instructor and CDTS: My driving career and background away from driving tuition is very comprehensive. I have ridden or driven every style of vehicle from a moped up to a 44 tonne articulated lorry. I was, in previous employment, a HGV driver and driver trainer for many years. My background and experience led me, it seemed as a natural progression, to qualify and become an ADI car driving instructor and form CDTS.
I have been associated with BSM since September 2014 and know that together, CDTS with the backing of BSM, can offer the best selection of training packages to suit the customer and their individual needs. This training package could be for a complete novice starting out on the road, a Pass Plus course for newly qualified young drivers, to the refresher training a more experienced driver may need from time to time. This refresher training may be to prepare for a new job which requires a driving assessment or expanding the knowledge gained by the driver since passing their practical driving test. I, as a driving instructor and in my day to day life, am fully committed to being the best I can be and this is what I want for my trainee drivers. Learners and experienced alike should be aware of, and use, their full potential behind the wheel.
I have been told my strongest points whilst instructing, aside from an in depth and comprehensive knowledge of training and driving tuition, is my patience and attitude when it comes to dealing with the more timid or less confident customer. The person who, for whatever reason, does not feel at ease behind the wheel, or with the experience of driving in certain situations needs, special care, attention and focus to coach them into their own unique relaxed and comfortable style of learning and subsequently driving. With the more experienced driver, both learner and qualified alike, that person will again benefit from a style of tuition which fits in with their personal ability, expectations and goals. For example, a qualified driver of 10 years experience but who has never driven on a motorway, does not need to spend hours of lesson time going over the ‘basics’ of car control to have a 'refresher' session dealing with motorway driving. Whereas a 17 year old would need entirely the reverse being eased gently into the world of the driver and road craft.
CDTS and you:
I will always try and give the best value when it comes to any driving lessons I supply. My goal is to provide first class instruction, safely, whilst remaining fully committed to meeting my pupils needs and expectations to produce the best possible results at a pace which is tailored to the individuals needs.
I offer various packages both directly and via the BSM website in addition to a ‘pay as you go’ option. Trying to remain completely impartial, I would always recommend that anyone considering purchasing driving tuition of any type explores fully what is included with any deals or package on offer. This may be just to make sure what length of time each lesson is or maybe what is not included such as the cost of using the car for your practical test. Make sure you are fully informed before making your choices.

Whatever your age, experience or ability, I can provide a training package to suit your needs.
