Our workshop with Jane was great fun. Jane is very knowledgeable and shated lots about the history of calligraphy which we found interesting. She was patient, encouraging and supportive with us during our session, giving us each individual attention to help us craft our pieces. We all acieved a beautiful piece at the end. We will definately be doing another workshop with Jane in future.

Jane I just wanted to say thank you for the calligraphy course. You explained everything so well and repeated things when I needed more support! Very patient and great teacher. As I have said numerous times you make it look very easy! I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I will be in touch in due course for the next instalment! .

The class was really excellent. I particularly enjoyed learning the numbers as well as the written letters, as they seemed unusual, but very nice. The tutor was very knowledgeable yet could explain everything really well. And it was really easy to follow the class, as her camera angles and film techniques were really clear as well.

From my initial email enquiry response that I received from Jane, I knew that I had come to the right place. Brought a starter pack from Jane, and attended an online course, the care, passion, and enthusiasm that Jane shows throughout, nothing is too much trouble. Constructive feedback is fabulous. Have since purchased a secondary online course for “Fun Flourishes” I’m hooked. The extensive shop that Jane has is amazing, and so helpful for product advice!

Jane recently completed a book for our Church Bell Restoration project. This was to create a completely new book in which all the various donations were entered together with several sentences of script - all in calligraphy. Jane made a fabulous job of the book and then arranged for it to be bound in leather with a hand tooled title in gold leaf. We were all delighted with the finished article.

Jane completed an update of a register, which ended up being a lot of work. She matched the existing font perfectly, and completed the work very quickly. It was reasonably priced for the skill involved and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a similar service.

Jane took on the commission of a calligraphy sonnet for a wedding gift - the end result was exquisite and far exceeded my hopes of how good it could look. During the process, she consulted regarding specific details but also interpreted my ideas creatively to come up with something much better than I could have imagined on my own. And - all this to a tight time schedule and a very reasonable budget too. Brilliant - thank you! :-).

Having met Jane years ago at a show, I knew who I wanted to ask to teach me when we became engaged. I have had 8 private lessons with her, and I am absolutely thrilled with where I am now from where I started. I will be doing our wedding invitations by hand thanks to Jane’s patience and wonderful tuition. Hopefully I will do her proud! Thank you again, it’s been a pleasure. Excellent service from start to finish. I received beautiful calligraphy orders from Jane before so I already knew I was going to get a quality service and product. Jane listened to exactly what I was wanting and my confidence in her ability enabled me to allow Jane to give freedom for her artistic flare to complete the poems and pictures. I took the Modern Calligraphy course which was informative and fun. Now all I need to do is keep practising…. ! Jane is a good teacher and really knows her lettering. Strongly recommend the course. Incidentally the ‘starter pack’ is good value too.

I enjoyed the “anything goes” workshop. I learnt about gold leaf work. It gave me an opportunity to try something new. I was pleased with the item I created.

Lovely day with a very engaging teacher. Jane has a wealth of experience which she shares in a way that's easy to understand. I attended an all-day class with 5 other people which was really good for sharing ideas and experience. The pace is good for beginners like me and has opened my eyes to the potential in calligraphy that I didn't know was there before. Certainly has made me want to do more.

Great day learning different types of calligraphy. Jane is so knowledgeable but also great fun. I’ve learnt so much in just one day. I’ll definitely be back for some more wonderful workshops.

Jane ran the most fantastic calligraphy class for our hen party, we hired a big house for the weekend and Jane joined us for an afternoon so teach us some of the amazing calligraphy basics. We all thoroughly enjoyed it an it was a wonderful afternoon - would highly recommend it to anyone.

Jane did an excellent job in interpreting my request and did it in a very tight time scale. Her communication was excellent through out and I would definitely recommend her work.

I've just completed a 4 week online course with Jane on Modern Calligraphy. It was very well structured and infomative. It only provides a taster of what you can achieve because it really is a case of practise, practise, practise but it has made me want to continue and to explore other techniques shown. It would be useful to have a follow up course at some stage.
