I’ve been coming to Birch Tree Yoga for nearly 10 years. I highly recommend this studio and teachers. The classes are of an exceptional standard. The studio itself is peaceful and ambient and I have not found another class in the area that can equal what this studio provides.
I have been comeing to Karen's class for a good few years now and have always looked forward to it. Some of the poses can be quite challenging but Karen's positive outlook outways my negativety. The correct posture for the poses is always shown and is always repeated in the Sanscrip language as well. I think my Yoga and my flexibility has improved over time and I can only thank Karen for that. The added bonus of Birch Tree Yoga Studios is it set in a very tranquil setting without the stress of trying to find a parking space somewhere near your class. I would definitely recommend Karen and Birch Tree Studios for an easy/stressless Yoga class.
I have been going to Karen's yoga classes for many years and have always enjoyed her teaching and her personnality. Each week Karen's classes have different themes, making them interresting and involving. I admire her professionalisum and the atmosphire she creates in her studio. Galina.
I have been going to Birch Tree Yoga for 2 years as it was recommended for my MS and really enjoy the classes. The idyllic setting, easy parking and welcoming studio make it an ideal place to practise yoga. Karen takes time to explain the physical postures, giving them context and encouraging you to go 'to the edge' of your comfort so that you always get the best out of the practice. The classes are very well structured, sometimes working on a particular area of the body or building up to a particular pose, but always close with relaxation. I leave the class feeling revived, relaxed and rewarded.
I’m a work in progress despite having practised yoga since 2001 around the commitments of bringing up children. I wanted to find a regular class once they became older and Karen’s excellent tuition (since 2013) has been instrumental in reducing bad habits and encouraging me to work to the best of my ability. Her seasonal themes, variations and focus on different body areas always result in classes which are fresh and original. I’m not naturally supple, but my weekly yoga class complements playing badminton and is essential to my overall wellbeing. Sue H, 2016.
Having initially tried Yoga at another venue where there where between 28-32 participants with a single teacher. ( not recommended)I contacted Karen and asked to be put on her waiting list as she taught to far fewer pupils at one time, which she was happy to do. I was contacted very quickly when a place became available and have been going to my Monday class now for many weeks. The class is excellent and well taught and although I am only a beginner there are pupils at all levels ,which Karen understands and copes well with patience and understanding. I seem to be getting slightly less stressed with life generally and appear to be getting a bit more flexible as well! . I would recommend Yoga as a way of life and I would definitely recommend Karen as a way of getting there. As an added bonus there is plenty of free parking as well. Gordon.
I joined Birch Tree yoga two years ago as a complete beginner. The atmosphere and approach of the classes always made me feel comfortable and welcomed regardless of my initial physical abilities. My flexibility muscular strength has improved and I genuinely feel better. I find that the whole experience of going to Birch Tree Yoga is luxurious and complete. I would recommend Birch Tree Yoga to anybody who wants to increase their physical and emotional strength in life.
Karen's classes are excellent. They are varied so you are never bored or complacent but still allow you to build solid foundations in your yoga practice. The personal attention enables you to really develop and the setting of the studio adds greatly to your experience. I cannot recommend these classes highly enough.
Karen has created a bespoke studio for her yoga classes. The environment is peaceful, warm and inviting (so none of the harsh lighting or spare equipment lying around that you would find in many gym studios). Karen is a strong and energetic teacher, but she has such a gentle, smooth manner when taking us through relaxation. Karen also teaches us about the philosophy behind the yoga poses, which is very important for the whole mind/body connection. I really look forward to my weekly class, a great way to keep flexible and de-stress.
I have been attending classes at Birch Tree Yoga for nearly two years. Karen is excellent, her style of yoga is very dynamic,fluid and suits all levels. I have done workshops with some of the best yoga teacher’s in the world and Karen is definitely up their with them. The yoga studio is set in beautiful surroundings and really adds to the mood of the place. .
