BF Home - (Better Furniture Home) was established in 2008. Design a Fama sofa, customise a beautiful Somnus by Harrison Spinks bed or design a beautiful dining set by Italian luxury brand Bontempi Casa.
Our store is located at 111 Barker Street, Norwich, NR2 4TQ.

Never again - missing order and constant fobbing off with lies! Never again! Still waiting for a footstool we were initially told in-store would take 4-6 weeks. We’ve been called liars, and told we wouldn’t have been given that lead time as it states 6-8 weeks on receipt. Nevertheless, we are now sitting at week 11 and they’re telling us yet another few weeks wait (yet to be confirmed) It’s been out for dispatch from Wales now for 6 days (that’s Wales in the UK! ) They’ll tell you anything for a sale and once they’ve got your money, it’s a different story. It’s us constantly chasing them. No returned calls as promised with endless, poor excuses each time from each staff member for not calling…”we’re busy” (never busy when we go in) “our computer is running slow” (so you make calls from the computer, not the phone on the desk? ) “we’re short staffed” (we’ve only ever seen at most 2 members of staff) “we’re a small, Norwich based company” (its a wonder they survive). Seriously, they are awful. We have told them that once if it goes beyond “another few weeks”we’ll be having a refund. We have a feeling that it hasn’t even been made yet! Will not return as a customer as they do not deserve our money let alone a good review. - *November 26th update: 10 days on still no sign. The store don’t even know where it is. Refunded our card without agreement. Kinda get the feeling they want rid of us. Well I’ll be visiting to chase it until it arrives.Moreexpand_more

We bought 2 settees and a double chair from this "Better Furniture" oufit more than a year ago and when faults were noted we made contact via email, phone and viists to the Nowich store. We have been blanked totally and are now persuing a solution via our card provider. We had to pay £160 pounds for an independent assesor who was shocked to hear that the sofas were 14 months old. He pointed out manufacturing defects. The delivery men also fitted feet with small hard plastic buttons on them that have damaged our oak flooring. I would recommend buying elsewhere as we are bitterley dissapointed with the attitude and incmpetence of this outfit. Caveat Emptor.

Now very concerned to not be able to get any response from Better Furniture. We have now been waiting 6 months for a sofa and chairs. We've been totally understanding of the current situation and have not been difficult or pushing for updates. However, we now find ourselves unable to get hold of anyone on the telephones for the last two weeks, they just ring and ring and no answers to our various emails. The website says staff are working behind the scenes, but not from what I can see. Very concerned.

Spent several thousand pounds, very helpful when taking the money, and all items received. One set of drawers clearly faulty but have been told it won't be replaced as it's a 'natural' fault in the wood! Now left with something that doesn't look good, and they won't let me return! Customer service takes around a week on average to answer emails, and the last one they haven't replied to at all. Won't be going back.

I ordered a bookcase on March 16th. I was then informed early May by the delivery company that the bookcase would be delivered only to my front door due to social distancing, which is no good since Im disabled and live with 2 young children. The delivery company cannot give me a date when they can deliver. Better furniture have been slow at replying and will not refund my money. Will be taking this to trading standards and financial ombudsman. Its totally appalling that they will not refund the £329 that I paid when they cant tell me if or when it can be delivered. They are trying to say its my fault, I should have known. And charge £27 for the delivery they booked. No, they should have asked me before booking with the delivery company if front door would be ok, I paid for delivery to room of my choice. Truly shocking company!Moreexpand_more

I don’t like Leaving bad reviews especially at times like this when I know things are not “normal” but we have had issues with our furniture and better furniture have stopped responding to my emails and they are not Contactable by phone. They are working as I see they have responded to other customers. Come on, give me an update, it’s been 2 weeks now.

Bought the Pershore oak hall bench, unfortunately there was a quite a delay in receiving it but due current situation not overly surprised. On phoning, the person I spoke to, was very helpful and although still had a wait, it was in suggested time frame. Lovely solid item of furniture, really pleased with it, worth the wait. Thank you.

I purchased a Morwell Corner sofa, bench and table. The Sales staff were very friendly and accommodating (we wanted to have the order delivered after we completed on a new house). The delivery staff were efficient and friendly and we were delighted with the items. 11 months later we had a problem with the springs in the bench, customer service were very helpful the item was inspected, taken away, repaired and returned within a few days. Excellent service all round and I will definitely buy from Better Furniture again.

Having purchased a lovely nest of tables in April 2019, I returned in December in search of a small sideboard and am delighted with the Carbrooke Oak sideboard purchased and delivered within 2 weeks. The quality of the sideboard is excellent and it was good value for money. Interaction with staff was very good. Better Furniture will be my first port of call when looking for future items.

I would like to thank everyone at Better Furniture from Ashley who sold us our bed to the professional delivery team having received our new bed today. The order for the bed was placed with a promised 4 week lead time on delivery and it was delivered within that timespan with emails and phone calls received during that window updating us on the progress of our order. Can only hope our new bed is as good as the customer service we have received from Better Furniture.

Customer service or rather the lack of it seriously lets this company down ! We sent emails, rang them and got no information as to when our order was coming in ? We finally got a response when we threatened to cancel the order. My sister is now having the same issues, we have been promised a delivery date of today and have heard nothing more despite being repeatedly chased! An absolute joke, so if you have months to wait and are prepared to sit in all year round to wait for a delivery that may turn up at any point then they are the company to buy from!

I wish that I could comment on the quality of the product but I ordered and paid for the item on Dec 29th; some 16 weeks later I have still not received the goods! I was told at the time of ordering that it could take 10 weeks, but this is 60% over that target. I have telephoned the company at least 6 times now starting on March 13th, on each occasion they tell me that they will call me back but they never call me back or leave a message on my mobile as I have requested. On two occasions a message has been left on the landline saying that the item is on the way and they will be arranging delivery, but I haven't heard anything further and the last message was on 8th April. My last call was made on 22nd A April and I was told that someone from the office would call me the next day. Today is 24th April and I have heard nothing further. Very disappointed barely scratches the surface of how I feel about this company now.

Better Furniture being very local to me I popped in looking for a new double bed and was very pleased to be shown a number of combinations consisting of the best mattresses on good bases that were of excellent quality and that would do my new somnus mattress justice. I settled for the Somnus Airedale Mattress on a Sealy upholstered base in my chosen colour. Thankyou Ashley for sorting it all for me ok! Lots of choice from an independant shop of this size is always good so keep up the good work and I will pop in again after the re-furbishment.

Visited Better Furniture last year with a view to buying a Fama sofa for my holiday cottage business. Ashley was very helpful and provided lots of information. Visited again yesterday to purchase and received excellent, helpful service from Ashley (so much so that I ended not only buying a Fama sofa but also two dining tables! ). I can't recommend highly enough and will certainly be using again.

Have ordered and paid for 2 pieces of furniture said delivery 3 weeks have had to call twice, has now been 5 weeks and they still haven’t contacted me for an estimated delivery date last time I called they said one piece of furniture was in, and they couldn’t tell me when the next piece would be arriving. Very poor customer service so far I’m not impressed.

I purchased various items of bedroom furniture and also 3 trunks at different times over a 7 day period. The staff who I dealt with on all occcasions Zena (who has now gone on maternity leave) and Sam were exceptional. They were helpful and friendly and kept me fully informed regarding delivery dates. Today (which was the date agreed for delivery of all items) the furniture arrived between the time stated following a call from the delivery guys. They dealt quickly and efficiently within a short period of time. I can’t see me wanting anymore furniture etc at this moment in time but if I did I wouldn’t hesitate in checking out Better Furniture again.

I purchased upholstered bench on-line, got a confirmation email straight away. However after that I had not heard anything, when the item was going to be dispatch or estimated delivery date. I rang the company two weeks later and was told that the bench is in the shop now and delivery date is going to be emailed to me, as I’m not local the item is going to be delivered by external delivery company, which is fine. Another two weeks past and I not heard anything regarding my delivery, I rang again to find out, the item is now with the delivery company, no communication at all during that time. After few days I emailed again to ask for contact details of the delivery company as still was unaware of the delivery date. Eventually the company got in touch and my bench was delivered. The item it self, it’s good quality, comfortable to sit on. However I feel the delivery took far to long(4week), and communication wasn’t very good during that time.
