About Amberonyx Handcrafts
Helen is a skilled designer and restorer of Costume Jewellery with over 18 years of experience in reassembling or repairing broken beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings, and in producing new Jewellery by hand from selected beading materials of high quality.
Over the years, Helen has been able to develop and maintain a good client base in the South London area through word-of-mouth, referrals from customers, and by staying in touch with clients.
Helen developed her interest in jewellery making from observing and working closely with her mum who is an experienced jeweller; and by working hard through self-study, to acquire more knowledge and skills in a variety of beading techniques and jewellery design.
Helen's restorative service also offers the opportunity to redesign and refashion jewellery into a style that is preferred. A benefit which has often exceeded her clients' expectations.
For example, Helen is able to adjust the length of preowned or new jewellery to create additional accessories for a more robust jewellery set.
Unwanted items can be removed from accessories, and lost or damaged findings on earrings, necklaces and bracelets can be replaced.
Helen's product range is suitable for a variety of occasions including special events such as weddings etc.
Over the years, Helen has produced and restored numerous accessories of simple and complex designs, and in a variety of beading patterns.
Helen has also sold several pieces of handmade jewellery to many individuals.
For example, her beautifully woven cluster necklaces and multi-layered faux-pearl necklaces which she assembles with lovely beads in an intricate fashion which is well sort after, by many of her customers.
In addition to designing and making jewellery, Helen also enjoys producing works of art in her spare time including drawings of landscapes, seascapes, trees, parks, mountain ranges and clouds, to mention just a few.
