About Amberonyx Handcrafts
Helen is a skilled and established designer and restorer of costume jewellery with a good client base in South London area, and over 19 years of experience in refashioning, reassembling and repairing pre-owned beaded jewellery; and in designing and fashioning new costume jewellery for sale.
Helen's interest in jewellery making developed from observing and helping her mum make jewellery from beads and good quality beading thread.
Jewellery Making / Designing.
Helen became a very experienced jewellery designer and restorer over time, from studying different beading techniques, and by applying the knowledge she gained in her work.
For example, Helen makes stylish costume jewellery by weaving, stringing and linking carefully selected beads and findings together with durable beading wire or thread to create a variety of designs including woven and cluster chokers and necklaces; multi-layered faux-pearl and stone beads necklaces; Cuff bracelets, beautiful earrings, and Bespoke jewellery etc.
Helen's product is suitable for special occasions, and is well sort after, thanks to the advocacy and referrals made by several clients, friends and acquaintances; all of which has contributed to the overall success of her small enterprise over the years.
Repair and Restoration: Helen offers a restorative and repair service for re-assembling broken beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings; and for replacing damaged, lost or worn-out beads and findings.
Jewellery Refashioning Service.
Helen's refashioning service has made it possible for many clients to remodel their Pre-owned Jewellery in different ways. For example by shortening a long necklace to make a layered or longer necklace; by replacing unwanted, damaged or worn-out beads and findings on jewellery, or by simply redesigning each accessory in a jewellery set to create a different style altogether.
Art and Craft Projects.
In addition to making jewellery, Helen enjoys drawing pictures of landscapes, trees, and other types of beautiful scenery in her spare time.
She also does small scale art and craft projects at home with her pre-owned, cleaned recycled materials which she uses for making recipe scrapbooks, Decoupage artwork landscape imagery, and for creating illustrative stories with picture cuttings of different creatures, and fun stickers.
Feedback and Appreciation.
Helen appreciates all the positive feedback she has received for the quality of her work over the years and she continues to work hard to maintain this good standard.
