Amber School of Motoring

Colin has been Fantastic, patient and professional from day 1. I was nervous and a total beginner with no other support to rely on. Colin got me from day one to lesson forty and a pass first time. Can not recommend him highly enough thank you Colin.

Ian is an absolutely amazing instructor, so down to earth and up for a laugh which makes you feel at ease, 99. 9% of the time I never thought I was on a lesson however this is not to say that he doesn't go about his work in a professional manner. Ian never addressed my mistakes as problems, just issues that could be corrected and learnt from. As a result of this I passed my test! Never thought I'd manage it but I did, his determination is amazing and his school is second to none! Couldn't think of a better school to go with and will always recommend to anyone. I'm so happy to be passed, just very sad to not have the banter we had anymore! Thank you so much Ian!

Ian is a fantastic driving instructor with a kind, humorous personality! Getting a long with Ian is not hard at all! Sometimes I forgot we were actually on a driving lesson as he makes you feel very at ease, but also very professional at the same time. Times when I did not have faith in myself he was always there to boost up my confidence again and get me back on track! Fantastic value for money and worth every penny! Ian is a great instructor who gives lots of encouragement and helped me pass my test first time with 1 minor. He was always willing to help me. The lessons with Ian will be missed.

Thanks to Ian for teaching me how to drive, Ian was very patient and supportive and helped me loads throughout my time learning to drive, He made things so simple. If it hadnt of been for amber I wouldnt of passed my test SIMPLE. Would recommend using amber school of motoring if you want to pass first time as I did with only 5 minor faults :).

Great driving school, passed my test with 1 minor, got taught everything brilliantly and got given great feedback before and after every lesson. A lot of encouragement was given and I highly recommend to use this driving school if you want the best driving lessons.

I passed with amber in may 2012 after starting lessons in october 2011. I was so scared and never ever thought I'd be able to drive. Ian made every lesson enjoyable and was really enthusiastic. I passed first time with Amber and I would reccomend them to anyone. Ian was very supportive and encouraging in his teaching. This made me feel comfortable in my ability and gave me more confidence. The service was exemplary and Ian was enthusiastic in his teaching which made it very enjoyable.

I passed my test with Amber on 16. 11. 12 - first time! (did have tests when I was 18 but failed and am 32 now so think it should be classed as first time! ). I was really impressed with the lessons I had with Ian at Amber, he gave me confidence and tips for improvement without making me feel like I was in the wrong. All the advice worked, he managed to get rid of any bad habits I had and taught me new reference points etc which will help me in the future. Calm and professional instructor who you can have a laugh with. Recommended Amber to my partner who is now learning and in the past has been with various driving schools. After 2 lessons he says Amber are the best driving school he has been with and wishes he'd learnt with them sooner! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Great! 10/10 Therefore Can not fault amber driving school, Ian my instructor was very supportive through my lessons and my actual practical test, many of my friends have also passed there test with amber and agree they felt very comfortable and happy wit Amber I would therefore recommend anyone to amber.

10/10! Learnt with amber and passed October 2011 with a clean sheet and no minors and been safe on the roads ever since! I had Ian and got to say I looked forward to having my lessons not only for the great service and skills that I learnt but because the instructor was also very enthusiastic about helping me learn to drive, it was never awkward with him and we'd have a good laugh every lesson. Amber are 100% reccomended by me and i'm disgusted if I hear of anyone learning with another school :-). Fab!

Passed my test with amber, they are the best driving school around and really care about making you a safe and confident driver. I moved from another driving school as I did not like they way I was getting taught. My time with amber was excellent. I even made sure when my brother was wanting to learn he went there! VERY HELPFUL AND PATIENT. Definitley suggest to many friends! If u want to learn how to drive properly and in a nice calm and friendly atmosphere, definitley choose amber! I passed first time and so did many of my friends who also went with amber!

I was recommended Amber SOM by quite a few people who had passed first time. I had Ian as my instructor, and he had a lot more confidence in me than I did in myself. I passed first time with only two minors. I appreciate the help he gave me, would recommend to anyone :) Thanks Ian and Amber SOM!

My lessons were with Graeme, he is a very good instructor and had a lot of confidence in me, he was very informative and explained everything clearly. He is a down to earth person and very easy to get on with, overall I enjoyed my lessons and happy to say I've now passed!

When I was learning to drive with Amber, I had a great experience. My instructor Graeme was wonderful in terms of his wealth of experience, endless patience and generally excellent teaching style. It was never any problem to reschedule lessons that I had to cancel, and the value for money was excellent - most probably the best value in the area in fact. Thank you Graeme, and thank you Amber!

I had Marc and passed first time with 3 minors. Couldn't complain about anything!
