Highly professional and customer centric - nothing was too much trouble. From the initial telephone enquiry, to the meeting in our home to quote the removal option costs, to the removal crew, all were polite, proactive and a real pleasure to work with. They took a lot of the stress out of our move. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Peter Akers and his team provided a really excellent friendly service of our house packing and removals for our recent house move for a family of 4 (+ a dog! ). They were on time, and so well organised and careful that it really minimised the stress related to the move! Everything was perfect and professional from start to finish and they went above and beyond - I would not hesitate to recommend this team to anyone needing removals. Cost wise, their quote actually came out less expensive than 2 others we received (who all came onsite to quote) - but even if it had been more we would have still booked them as we had a good feeling about the company when they visited for the quotation.

We could not fault Akers. The whole process from quote through to packing and move day ran smoothly. They priced very fairly, were punctual, polite, friendly and supportive. I spoke to a few removal companies prior to our recent move. Whilst all were professional, I knew once I'd spoken to Ashlea and met Peter that Akers were the right company for us. They were both very friendly and courteous and Peter was very reassuring with any concerns I had. We went for the full pack and move service and I'm so glad we did. 4 of the team came and packed everything the day before the move. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so efficient, the whole house was done in around 6 hours. On the day of the move, they were there at 8am and by the time they finished in the new house it was 7pm. They were seriously amazing. Checking with us all the way to make sure we were happy where everything was going, I don't think I've ever seen anyone work so hard. On top of the professionalism and everything else they were also smiling and friendly the whole time. Overall, the move hadn't been stressful at all, in fact it was actually quite relaxing if that's possible and that was purely down to Peter and the team. They also went the extra step on a few occasions which was really appreciated. We've now been in our lovely new home for almost a week and it feels like we've always been here. From the minute I spoke to Ashlea I knew I'd found the right company for the job. They are an extremely professional, friendly team. They just made everything so smooth and easy, even though I'd left everything until the last minute. Actually left my furniture in a better state than when they collected it! (Fixing handles and loose bits) It was the little details I really appreciated. Wouldn't even consider another removal company after today. Prices are reasonable too.

We moved from St Albans to London and Akers were fantastic. They made our move very easy and they were quick and efficient. In total our move took about 3 hours from start to finish which was great.

We have used Akers several times. We have used them for single items to half house move. We own a wurlitzer juke box that is very delicate and very large. Peter is the only person we would trust with it. By April he will have moved it 3 times for us. This company is very professional, punctual and very good value for money.
