I have been training with Ashley for a number of years and am now, under his direction, an instructor with my own class - it was his belief in me and support that gave me the confidence to challenge myself and make my dream a reality. His ethos to teaching clearly works, he has a vibrant class of enthusiastic practitioners, in fact we are more of a family. The opportunities that he makes available to students are superb, you can keep your Tai Chi local and use the class as an exercise class or take it international and really delve into the art with a wealth of experience upon which to build and and fly from. There are many facets to Tai Chi and this class will help you experience many more than most! What you then do is up to you - Ashley is very experienced and knowledgeable, he provides the tools and the tuition, he opens the door, the student is the one who enters in and learns.
I started with Ashley's classes as a novice only a few months ago and always have found a very accommodating and friendly environment, no feelings of intimidation at all from the more experienced practitioners, very encouraging.
I've been going Ashleys weekly Tai Chi class for over a year. I didn't realise there were so many different aspects to Tai Chi, I thought it was about 'old ladies dancing in the park' - how wrong I was from improving breathing, posture, reducing stress Tai Chi has it covered. What really makes this class special are the friendly students all ages all walks of life enjoy Ashleys class.
I've train with Ashley for only 4 yesrs, but his attitude towards teaching made it easy for me to learn. Hi views on how to better yourself, not just through practicing, but how you view life. He makes me want to practice, and I do. Mark W.
Having studied Tai Chi Chuan on a regular basis with Ashley for nearly eight years now, I still appreciate his approach to teaching and the way it constantly brings out something new and fun within the subject. His enthusiasm and approachability make him an invaluable source of inspiration and insight into how I can improve not only my Tai Chi practice, but also my attitude in other key life skills for work, home, play and relationships in general.
I've trained with Ashley for over 6 years. During this time I've found his knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to teaching Martial Arts inspiring. Even moving out of the area, I traveled 2 hours every week just to attend his classes. It's not just the quality of his teaching but his perspective on life that make his classes so rewarding. I recommend everyone attend at least one class. It will change your life.
