Highly recommend. After a difficult pregnancy loss in 2023 I started seeing David earlier this year because of his amazing reviews on fertility. Before my first appointment I found out I was pregnant (4 weeks), but I was very low and anxious despite falling pregnant again and really didn't feel like myself, it felt like everyday was becoming a struggle. David was thorough in understanding how I felt, background and the support I needed. After a few sessions I immediately felt the weight of some emotions I'd be feeling - lift. He is very warm, welcoming, understanding and takes pride in his work. David supported me weekly through a difficult 12 weeks (weekly) getting to the 3 month mark with pregnancy and beyond where I am now 35 weeks and preparing for my new arrival. I came to see David to help me prepare for a round of IVF. I had been struggling with infertility due to an over active immune system, and I was on a combination of medications to supress my immune system. I wanted to ensure that my body was as balanced as possible prior to embarking on an ivf transfer, so came to see David on a weekly basis for Acupunture in Berkhamsted. I continued seeing David through my pregnancy to support me during a highly anxious period. David is kind, calm and highly professional. It is impossible for me to say whether the acupunture led to my successful pregnancy. However, I am certain it helped me emotionally and physically during a very difficult period.

I became a client of David's as I had been trying to conceive for a period of time and had experienced a miscarriage. I was looking for an acupuncture practitioner and found David after reading online reviews. From the first appointment, I was sure that the acupuncture sessions with David would assist with my fertility journey and more generally my overall wellbeing. David was personable and empathetic and I left the session feeling refreshed and positive. I was fortunate to fall pregnant a month after starting the sessions and continued regular sessions with David throughout my pregnancy. I found the sessions to be an invaluable support for me, both emotionally and physically, with David taking time to tailor each session by discussing any challenges I had experienced that week. I highly recommend David. I now have a one week old baby boy and I truly believe that the treatment I received was key to my successful pregnancy journey. .

David has been a huge help and support to. Me for almost a year now. I went to him for acupuncture after beginning chemotherapy for cancer treatment. When the chemotherapy treatment started I had terrible nausea from the medication, but after one round of acupuncture the nausea completely went away. I found it quite amazing how effective it was. Since then David has continued to support me through the rest of my treatment and it has made a world. Of difference. Even now after I have had a session, I sleep better and feel much more energised. David is also a very kind and insightful person, and I have found his emotional support so helpful through this time. I still go back to some of the mindfulness tools that we have talked about together, when I'm having a difficult time. I first contacted David after a friend recommended I try acupuncture for fertility (we had been trying to get pregnant for a year and had decided it was time to explore options. We underwent fertility testing and found out that there was nothing medically preventing us from getting pregnant so rather than go into starting any hormonal treatment to speed things along I decided to give acupuncture a try so I contacted David. I wasn't sure what to expect but found that from the first session even just talking about the journey I had been on was really helpful, and David was always a very calming presence making me feel comfortable and at ease from the first session. I then had weekly sessions (which I was advised would be needed for about 3 months as the first course of treatment) - it was great to feel like I was doing something to help my journey and I found that sessions helped to manage my stress levels and give me space to keep a positive mindset - essential when trying to get pregnant. At the end of the 3 months I was lucky enough to find out that I was pregnant so I carried on with weekly sessions for the first trimester to support the pregnancy - again so useful and reassuring as the first 12 weeks is an anxious time. I managed to avoid the main symptoms of morning sickness and tiredness which were a huge bonus. After the first trimester I then dropped the sessions down to once a month (or as they were needed) but I think that the foundation of the treatment that I had at the start helped to lay the groundwork I needed for a smooth and easy pregnancy. The mind is such a powerful tool and combined with the treatment and taking that time for myself each week it all contributed to me having such a positive journey. I will definitely seek treatment for any future pregnancies. I had a really good experience with David, who is professional, not pushy on treatment (it's always your choice to carry on with sessions) and provides a safe space for you to discuss any worries or concerns, so if you are curious about if acupuncture can help you - I would say give it a try!Moreexpand_more

The most wonderful personalised service. I am 8 months pregnant now following 2 rounds of IVF David helped me through the 2nd round and I really feel it made such a difference to my mood and to the treatment.

I have been coming to see David for treatment for migraines, tmj and insomnia. I have been very impressed with David, I am responding well to treatment, my sleep is much better, the migraines are less severe amd frequent. The tmj has improved significantly as I am not waking up with terrible headaches. David is very knowledgeable and professional and takes time to listen. I would highly recommend David.

I started to see David at his Hemel clinic for acupuncture during my IVF journey, I truly believe he had a helping hand in reducing my anxiety and promoting my fertility which resulted in our daughter being born earlier this year. David is extremely personable and professional and I would highly recommend him.

I contacted David back in July 2022 as we were having problems conceiving and were due to start IVF. I had looked into the benefits of Accupunture for both my own mental and physical health! David was able to fit me in straight away and I started weekly sessions with him. We had been TTC for two years and hadn’t had any luck- to my surprise, within a month of starting treatment, I conceived naturally. Unfortunately, I had a very early miscarriage but David supported me through the whole process- helping balance me out physically and mentally afterwards. We then went on to start IVF in October 2022 and saw David every week through the whole process- having specific sessions before transfer etc. I always felt positive, calm and controlled after David’s sessions and only wish I had looked into it sooner. Luckily, our first round of IVF was successful and I am now 28 weeks pregnant. I can’t compare our success to anything else as this was our first round, but I can say that despite being pumped with hormones and injections etc I felt very controlled and at ease every step of the way- something I can only put down to Accupunture. I have been working with David for 5 months working on my self esteem and general mental health. The results have been fantastic and I feel so much happier and confident in myself.

I became a client of David's during an extremely stressful time. I was distraught and in trauma/overwhelm. David used his experience and skills to not only provide therapy for the crisis but, ongoing, for the underlying causes. The combination of talking to establish current issues with designing the acupuncture part of the treatment in response to this worked very well for me. It meant that every stage of treatment was based on what was happening at that particular time. Through frank and often enlightening discussion I have been able to understand my situation and change my outlook. David is a calm. Measured and totally non-judgemental therapist who I can recommend without hesitation. I have visited both Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead clinics. .

I started seeing David during IVF treatment following two failed transfers. The transfer I had during treatment was successful and I now have healthy 5 month old twins who went full term. I saw David pre-transfer and for several months during pregnancy, I found the treatment during pregnancy massively helpful with morning sickness and fatigue and I am sure the treatment had an impact on the pregnancy itself. David is very professional, kind and supportive. I found the treatment so so helpful and I would highly recommend David.

I looked into acupuncture because I discovered I had hypothyroidism and unbalanced hormones, and I was also concerned about the impact this would be having on my fertility as I approached 40. From the outset, I felt at ease and comfortable with David. He has a calm and level-headed demeanour, and he took the time to understand my unique circumstances beyond the physical problems that could be affecting my wellbeing, before tailoring his acupuncture treatment to my specific needs.  I continued to see David weekly at both his Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted clinics for about 3 months while he supported me through a difficult relationship I was having. I would notice a build-up of tension throughout the week, but that would disappear after his sessions, and week by week this tension left me completely.  What I realised from my treatment with David was that the most significant problem I was having was more to do with my emotional conditioning as a result of past relationship trauma. I have no idea how his acupuncture treatment works, but it has literally changed my life and within 4 months, I felt back to the person I used to be – before a significant emotional ordeal I’d gone through a few years earlier.  I continued to see David monthly, and without any medical intervention, my stress hormones had regulated, and my thyroid levels and antibodies had significantly improved. I believe that was the knock-on effect of David’s treatment, and that by healing my emotional state of mind he also rebalanced my body physically.  Several months after starting my treatment with David, I was told that I would struggle to conceive naturally and that I would likely need IVF, so David spent my following session focusing purely on fertility. While I had begun to make peace with the idea of not ever having a biological child, I decided it was still worth trying a treatment with him. To my absolute surprise, I fell pregnant naturally that same cycle. I’m now 41 years old and 32 weeks along with my first baby and so far, having a smooth pregnancy with no complications.  I truly believe that David’s treatment has altered the course of my life for the better by rebalancing my mind and body and enabling me to completely move on from past trauma that I’d learned to live with by staying in what I can only describe as a kind of emotional “safe/sleep" survival mode. I started seeing David in January 2022 for my long Covid, which I'd been struggling with since May 2020. Within a couple of months of weekly sessions I had significant improvement, and we started to gradually tail off the treatment. Now (November 2022) I feel pretty much recovered, and I've stopped treatment. David didn't just stick pins in me: he's a very good listener and good at giving gentle advice. I heartily recommend him.

I started seeing David for acupuncture at his Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted clinics as a holistic therapy to help me manage stress/anxiety, but also for some fertility issues I was experiencing. From day one, David was very professional and is an incredibly nice, calming, level-headed person. We’ve had some great conversations around mindfulness and overall health too, which have also very much complimented the treatment I was having. I am hugely appreciative to David for his commitment to my treatments. Every treatment session is bespoke as per the clients needs. I am delighted to say my anxiety levels are always improving, and for the fertility piece, I see the treatments of big importance to complement other medical interventions I was also having – after a round of recurrent miscarriage, I am now in the third trimester of my first pregnancy! I will continue to have acupuncture with David now as a maintenance to my overall health. I really cannot recommend David (or acupuncture) highly enough!

I was fortunate to find David when searching for alternative treatment for perimenopause and fertility treatment. Having attended both David's Berkhamsed and Hemel Practice. Being new to accupunture David put me at ease. I had not realised how low I had become, battling hormonal imbalances and the daily pressures/juggling of life work/motherhood.
