Dear Sir / Madam.

I run a massage therapy clinic in Cardiff city centre (approx 32sqm, first floor and has a sink in room) and I am looking for a professional carpet cleaner to treat a specific area of my treatment room carpet.

The carpet is a very thick navy carpet. There are two issues:

Routine oil area.
There is a small area (around 1 m²) with light rapeseed-oil staining from massage work. This normally lifts quite easily with an oxygen-based fabric stain remover, but it benefits from a professional wet-vac / hot-water extraction about once a year.

Paint stain – emulsion.
More recently, Dulux Diamond Matt wall paint (Lemon Chiffon 2, water-based emulsion) has been spilled in four small patches in the same room. I have already tried to remove it myself using:

Astonish Oxy Active fabric stain remover (sprayed on and left to dry on three consecutive nights).

85% isopropyl alcohol (IPA), dabbed on and then blotted off.

Unfortunately, instead of lifting the paint, this has softened and spread it, so the original four 50p-coin size marks are now about four grapefruit-size areas. I have stopped attempting any further treatments, as I do not want to damage or bleach the carpet.

I would be grateful if you could:

Advise whether you can treat this type of dried water-based emulsion that has already been exposed to Oxy stain remover and IPA.

Let me know what method you would use (e.G. Spot-treatment plus hot-water extraction) and whether you anticipate full removal or mainly improvement.
