FreeIndex.co.uk has today launched a wealth of new features that are designed to consolidate the website’s position as the UK’s premier online business directory.
The new site improvements aim to help small-medium businesses generate even more enquiries - and to make the browsing experience more enjoyable for site visitors.
The new features include:
Improved Search Tool: The website’s search engine has increased in power – enabling visitors to search via location as well as keyword. The relevancy of the search results has also been improved.
Stats: A brand new stats reportage tool has been added to the FreeIndex.co.uk Listing Builder that allows every advertiser to review the number of page views and enquiries that their company profile page receives.
Sort by Nearest to you: Users of FreeIndex can now sort businesses by ’the nearest to you’ by entering their postcode. This functionality sorts and returns the nearest companies to the user’s location.
Spam Filter: To prevent SPAM email enquiries being sent through the website, a new filter has been added to the enquiry forms to ensure that advertisers only receive genuine business leads.
Category Restructuring: The website’s category and location databases have been restructured to make finding businesses easier.
Popular Location Sections: The UK’s top cities now each have their own dedicated section on the website. This enables website visitors to find the most popular services in these areas even quicker.
Martin Turner of the FreeIndex.co.uk development team said of the improvements: “The addition of the useful and easy-to-use features is designed solely to improve visitor/advertiser experience - and not to detract from our much-loved trademark features that have always helped to single FreeIndex.co.uk out from the competition. Not only do the unique company profiles remain, but it also remains entirely free to add a business to the directory… a brilliant prospect for any company that wants to increase its online exposure.”
