Help us stop companies using FreeIndex to cold call
We have had some reports that FreeIndex has suffered from a number of companies using the directory as a marketing tool. We believe that these companies have been going through the directory and cold calling users, trying to sell them various products.We are unsure of the scale of the problem at the moment and we need to know more information. We are looking for anyone who has experienced one or more of these cold calls to let us know. It would be especially helpful if you could provide us with as much information about the company who phoned, the time and the nature of the call you received.
Please be assured we will never sell your personal information, and we have already put in place a number of additional security features to stop this kind of activity.
Our terms and conditions state…
”The use of FreeIndex data as a source or target for direct marketing, telemarketing, electronic, viral or any other marketing activity on yours, or someone else’s behalf, is strictly prohibited.”
We know how annoying these calls can be and we are very sorry if this has affected you. Please be assured that we are doing everything possible to try and stop these companies from breaking our terms of use.
