Gary and his team were fantastic. I really appreciated the cheerful but thorough and highly competent approach. But more importantly they delivered on time, exactly what they said they would and to a very high professional standard. A joy to have in the house. I cannot praise them too highly.

My absolute heroes! I cannot sing their praises highly enough! I had no cold water supply to my flat today. Gary and Brian were working on the flat downstairs and when they learned about my dilema they came to the rescue of a damsel in great distress! My water pipe is now fixed and I have a cold water supply back on in my flat, as does the flat next door! I absolutely CANNOT recommend G R Griffith highly enough! Fascia and Soffit Repair. First phoned 3 windows companies in Ayr trying to get a small 1. 5 metre length of PVC fascia repaired that had cracked in high winds. One made an excuse why they couldn’t come, another never returned a message and another said they’d look at the diary and get back but couldn’t, why, no doubt as it was not a big job. Got in touch with Gary, turned up on time, gave very competitive quote, fitted two days later and left me with spare length of material should another piece cracked. Nice job, nice fella, careful and happy to do a small job. .

March 2019. Gary and his team have only just finished knocking down a wall between our kitchen and dining room and relocating our kitchen cupboards within the new larger kitchen space, together with inserting a steel beam, tiling, adding new worktops throughout, redecorating and a multitude of other little jobs that I have added along the way! We have been very impressed. The attention to detail, communication and team work has been outstanding. This has not always been our experience when different tradesmen have worked together in the past. Gary listens very carefully and is very good at explaining what will and won't work while project managing it all seamlessly. We are very pleased with the finished results and would have no hesitation in recommending Gary or indeed using him again for future projects.

Over the past 6 years Gary has completely renovated our kitchen and two bathrooms and the results are outstanding. His work quality is a delight and we are constantly thankful for the choice we made in engaging him. His advice is always to be respected and has made our home more enjoyable. He is totally reliable and work is carried out without interruption start to finish.

Gary and his team are simply first class. We had some building work done, windows, patio doors moved and a new kitchen installed. Their attention to detail is exceptional, we are art school graduates and recognise quality when we see it. Their work ethic is excellent starting early and prompt and clearing up after themselves every evening before they leave. As the project progressed they advised on tweaks here and there, which was very much appreciated. Gary listens carefully to ideas, tries his best to fulfill them and is diplomatic if the idea is a bit over the top! We will and have used Gary’s team on occasions since and I cannot recommend them enough, you will not be disappointed. A delight to work with.

Gary and his team did some structural work in rearranging our dining room and kitchen which involved knocking down supporting walls, bracketing where required, strengthening and thickening exterior walls, insulating and fitting French doors and a new window. I am very happy with the results- Gary and his team are very friendly and approachable and work extremely hard. All my questions/concerns were answered in a reassuring way and I would not hesitate to use GR Griffiths Builders again and I would highly recommend!

The first thing that really make these guys stand out from the crowd is that they actually arrived at the time they said they would and did a full days work! The job was completed within the time scale estimated and communication was always good. Nothing was too much trouble, and tidied up at the end of the day. Pleasant to have in the house.

G R Griffiths Builders were recommended to me when I wanted a new kitchen fitted. Not only was the quality of the fitting, electrical and plumbing work excellent, so was their advice. They improved on the original design and when I wanted changes as the job progressed nothing seemed a problem. Everyone had a really good can-do attitude. I am not the easiest person to please but I was impressed by this company. They even stayed within budget.

Jim Rochford,Ayr. Gary gave a competitive quote for replacing upper floor joists that were rotten and replastering the wall above the floor joists. Gary and his team did a first class job in the repairs and was most helpful in keeping us up to date with the progress.

Gary and his team took down a gable end wall to open up a living room kitchen in an 1890s house. They then had to re slate the roof due to nail rot which was not apparent until work had started. All this was taken in their stride with great sub contractors provided for jobs that required it. We would certainly recommend Gary and his team and will be using them again.

Gary and his team have just installed a new Howdens kitchen at my house (along with some other more minor works) and I am extremely pleased with the result. Gary was recommended to me by two different friends and, from first contact, he has proved to be an honest and hard-working tradesman who puts his customers first. Gary gave us good practical advice on aspects of installation. His team did all they could to make the process of replacing our kitchen as painless as possible. Sub-contractors used were good. The final standard of work on my property was fantastic; Gary's own attention to detail meant that we had a great job done from start to finish. I will look no further than Gary when I need any other work done. Highly recommended.

Gary converted a loft area into a bedroom with dormer window and adjacent storage area. This involved firstly taking down 3 Ft thick old original stone gable and finally matching existing oak finishes. We felt involved in all decisions on finishes and minor rearranging cupboards/doorways but were in agreement with suggestions anyway. Gary and his subcontractors were all pleasant and easy to have in your home and minimised any mess. The promised time scales were met and any obstacles seemed no problem to overcome. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mr Griffiths carried out a make-over of our kitchen. The job involved builders work, plastering, plumbing, joinery and electrics. The work was carried out in a very professional way, there was a minimum of disruption and mess and the the job was completed without any interruptions. His attention to detail was apparent at all times. The finished job is excellent and we are delighted with it. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Griffiths.

GrGriffiths Builders installed my new kitchen, including tiling, flooring and decoration to a quality finish. Helpful, clear advice was offered at the planning stage and from the outset clearly pride was taken in both the quality of their work and in their customer satisfaction. All work was completed per quote, on time and finished to a very high standard. I found Gary to be a knowledgeable, experienced, and (as I was not able to be on site for most of the work) a trusted contractor. The new kitchen was left spotless and care was taken to leave the property clean and undamaged. .

Gary carried out a refurbishment of my dining room including wiring new electrical fittings, work on the rooms central heating, re plastering and fitting new skirting, architrave and hardwood floor. Work done was of a high quality, very accurately and reasonably priced and completed in the specified time frame. I will recommend Gary to any of my friends looking to have work done.

Gary and his team did a garage conversion, some internal work extending the kitchen and installing a new kitchen. The work they did was exceptional, as per the specification in the quote. With an older building, there were things that popped up unexpectedly and Gary was always clear in his explanation what the problem was and how much it would cost to rectify. Additionally, as the job progressed, there were a few changes that were introduced, both from our ideas and ideas that Gary put forward. Gary was always clear about how these changes would affect the job. They always left the job at the end of the day clean and tidy. When the work was finished, Gary was thorough in ensuring that we were happy with the work and we will have no hesitation in using him again if we need further work doing.

GR Griffiths put up a partition wall and ceiling to divide my warehouse into 2 rooms, a shop at the front and a warehouse at the back. They helped me decide how best to go about it & had lots of good advice and delivered a clear written quotation before carrying out the work. The work was done to a very high standard and they finished on time even though my timescales were very tight. Very professional service - I am very pleased I chose this company and would happily recommend them to others.
