Hurworth Burn Luxury Pet Hotel

We have a lovely, but very nervous and reactive 3 year old yellow Lab called Angus. We were looking for kennels with staff who could understand and quickly create a bond with Angus and ensure he is relaxed. Having visited Hurworth Burn and explained our needs, Deanne showed us round and suggested we book him in for a 2 night initial stay, which we did. When we returned to pick him up we were delighted to find how well he’d fitted in. Over the 2 day period Sam very kindly sent us photos of a very contented, happy dog. Deanne, Sam and Emma you are stars. Thank you so much for the care and attention you gave Angus. Hurworth Burn truly deserves its 5 star rating and we are already planning Angus’s next visit.

Once again another outstanding visit My boys don’t even look back when they jump out of the car to leave us. To us that says it all they and we know that they are well looked after and cared for. The staff are amazing and obviously love and are passionate about what they do and the photos they send you daily free are brilliant they catch them in some great poses you can a actually see the fun on the dogs faces. Some places charge for this service it is free here Our boys are anxious and max has epilepsy but we don’t have any complaints about here or any worries when we leave them Definitely the best place to leave them.

I don't think I have met people more passionate about animals. This is a safe wonderful environment. We keep joking that they are having a better time on holiday. I felt at ease walking away knowing my babies are safe and secure. Most of all loved.

I have been bringing my dog here for approximately 7 years and every time he comes home happy, chilled and totally worn out! The staff are amazing and really supportive. They work so hard to make the process seamless and stress free. I would highly recommend.

My dog had his 2 week holiday here again and loved it. We could enjoy ours knowing he is safe and so well looked after. The staff are all amazing and clearly love their job. Every day the post your dog on Facebook, and seeing him so happy made my day. He is 8 and being going since a pup, wouldn’t leave him anywhere else.

Amazing find, left our 5 precious pups for 1st time, daily pics, they were so well looked after, adored, spoilt with attention that they didnt want to come home, we wont go anywhere else and allready booking again for next year.

Left my 21 month british bulldog in the trusted care of Darren, Sam and the team for 17 nights. He's come home well looked after. I can go on holiday with peace of mind knowing my obi is well cared for.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Both dogs with being lockdown puppies never had chance to stay anywhere or interact with many people but they were quickly settled. We had daily photos and they looked so happy and well looked after. After a significant airport delay the staff were more than accommodating when we were late collecting the pair. Would recommend 100%.

Friends recommended Hurworth burn for our 2 terriers. Booked a viewing, and just wow. Recieved such a warm welcome from all staff, the place is immaculate, manicured gardens etc. The kennels are more like doggy apartments, under floor heating with TV. Excellently equipped and excellent areas for excercise and play for our fur babies enjoyment. Missie and Charlie stayed with ease and we recieved some lovely picture messages , as a asked could they send them, as I was a wreck leaving them. Will certainly book again for our 2. Terrific 5* kennels, nothing is too much trouble for these peeps when it comes to looking after your fur babies, for my rottie it’s just home from home He loves it here. Thank you all.

I sent my 7 month old puppies and was very nervous leaving them being so young. They both had a great time and came back very happy and content. They now have their bags packed again to enjoy Christmas and New Year with all of the staff. Highly recommend them.

This certainly is a 5 star hotel for dogs and I cannot recommend it highly enough. One of my dogs suffers separation anxiety when away from home and won't eat, consequently losing a lot of weight. The staff at Hurworth went out of their way to calm him and find which food he would eat, weighing them both regularly. After 15 days I collected two happy, healthy dogs. The daily photos on Facebook also helped relieve my separation anxiety so I will certainly book my boys in there in the future.

Very happy, will definitely be booking again.

First time we have put our puppy in kennels and he loved it he is due to stay again in a few weeks, I went to view other places first but didn't get the right vibes from them but this place ticked all the boxes.

So pleased we found this place, very clean kennels, nice grounds and friendly staff. Nice touch was the photos of our two dogs taken every day and posted on facebook. Was great to be able to see them and how happy they looked. Can`t recommend this place highly enough ! . Would not consider leaving the dogs (or our cats) anywhere else in the future.

We recently left our Jack Russel dog for a weeks holiday at Hurworhburn Kennels. The staff were very helpful friendly and understanding towards our dogs needs. This was the first time she has been left at kennnels and we would have no problems leaving her here again. Would highly recommend them.

Home from home, that’s the only way I can describe Hurworth my JR Oscar just loves his holidays there. Maureen, Darren and there dedicated team are amazing nothing is too much trouble to any one of them. I would highly recommend this pet hotel and wouldn’t take my furry friend anywhere else for his holidays.

This is the only place I will let them look after my dog, highly recommended plus they truly love and care for the animals in their hotel. This place is so different and better than the rest in my opinion.
