I've been attending Jo's fitness sessions for over seven years now and couldn't recommend her more. The exercise helps me keep backache at bay, and provides just the right mix of relaxation and energy boost, all in lovely company. Jo's attention to detail and ability to fit the exercise around one's individual needs are just amazing, not to mention her chocolates!
I have attended Jo’s prenatal classes during both of my pregnancies; four years apart, as well as a postnatal fitness class with baby in tow both times. Jo is such a genuinely kind and lovely person and she really knows her stuff when it comes to all things fitness and pregnancy and post pregnancy bodies and exercise. She goes above and beyond, makes everyone feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I have also recently attended a healthy chocolate making workshop with her and what a fab experience it was. Jo gives everything she does her all and is so passionate about Zest4Lifeuk. I would not hesitate to recommend Jo and her classes.
Jo is a dedicated and enthusiastic Pilates teacher specialising in pre and post natal classes. Hence, some of the exercises concentrate on developing the core muscles in a gentle way but without compromising the stronger people in the group as each exercise has different ability levels which are explained and demonstrated in detail. Thus, the classes are ideal for people who are recovering from illness or weakness of muscles. For me as a retired older person the classes are brilliant. Jo is cheery and welcoming to all and the classes have a friendly chattiness. After attending the classes for a few weeks the ache I had in my legs disappeared! Jo is vigilant in watching and helping people to have the right level of exercise. She often gives a separate exercise to those who she knows needs a different level. I fully recommend the Zest for life classes for all those who require to build their strength up slowly and gently - male and female, Teens upwards to any age. I have been attending Zest4Lifeuk classes for 2 months now, twice a week preparing my mind and body for my first baby. I have to admit that the classes are amazing. Jo is very patient, professional and friendly. She is so dedicated and honest ! The classes are always interesting and bring very good results to body and mind. I definitely recommend Zest4Lifeuk to anyone!
Joanna is great at what she does, be it the fitness classes or chocolate workshops. The atmosphere at her classes is always very relaxing (including fairy lights on the walls), there is some time for chatting during the session but at the same time lots of exercises tailored to the type of course (and adapted person by person if needed). I always look forwards to her class all week, especially when everyday life feels a bit stressful, and always come out feeling a lot more relaxed.
I have really enjoyed Jo's post-natal pilates classes. She is friendly and has made me feel very welcome. She is always interested in what all the mums have been up to. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about pre and post-natal fitness, and I have felt in very safe hands. She cares a great deal about the mums, and does everything she can to help - from suggesting alternative exercises if needed, to offering advice on healthy eating. Every week we do different exercises, work in pairs/small groups and also individually, and she keeps it fresh and engaging. Jo is great at motivating you, and has a very positive approach towards fitness. She's inspiring! I thoroughly recommend her classes! A huge thank you to Jo!
Jo's classes have been one of my best parts of maternity leave so far. I love being able to get together with other mums in the same situation and get fit at the same time! Jo is always in a lovely happy mood which makes the class. She always over runs in the mornings too so we have a lovely long class - amazing value for money!
After doing BuggyBabies when my little one was a baby, I was looking for another fitness class, ideally with Jo, once I was back at work. HIIT is quick, fun, hard work and certainly gives results! Jo is a fab instructor - all the classes vary and we get a full body work out every Monday. A great start to the week!
A great way to meet other mums and get the benefit of Jo's expertise to boot. Aside from the antenatal fitness benefits, the exercises have really helped my pregnancy related pelvic pain. The same price as a class at the gym but far more personal and tailored to your specific situation. Excellent.
A definite 'must do' class for every pregnant woman out there! Jos class is not only fun and fantastic for keeping in shape and flexible whilst growing a baby. It is interesting and informative and every week is different. I've made lovely friends already who I plan to keep in touch with and I look forward to attending each week!
I took Jo's postnatal Pilates class a few years ago after having my first child and was really impressed with the quality and advice given. I was therefore eager to join one of Jo's classes a few months ago after the birth of my second child but unfortunately I was unable to make any of the classes. Jo suggested I give her online postnatal Pilates a go and I'm really glad I did. The quality of the videos is exceptional and the exercises are really easy to follow. Jo also makes sure that the exercises are appropriate for all users, so after gaving my second CSection I knew I was in good hands! I really looked forward to having a new video emailed to me at the beginning of each week despite the exercises becoming progressively harder each week. I also thought the added bonus of getting meal plans etc included made it all very good value for money. Fantastic support, knowledge and advice. Thanks Jo! :).
