Removed tree roots under original driveway then relaid the blocks. Initially I had 3 quotes - John's was very fair and he was the only one who took time and trouble to explore the root problem before assessing the project. On task John was very thorough and hard working in all weathers tackling every aspect of the job with experience and expertise. I am delighted with the finished project and highly recommend him.

John is a highly skilled craftsman, he approaches his work with utmost professionalism. John built us a patio using Indian Sandstone slabs, he consulted us at every stage of the project and treated the patio as if it were his own. He was always punctual and friendly. John has done an amazing job refurbishing and adding to our patio. He matched the new slabs perfectly to the old ones which were over ten years old doubling the size of the existing patio and added a long curved path to the outbuildings. The finished job has exceeded our expectations and to say we are delighted is an understatement.

John quoted competitively on a new staircase for the front of our house as well as the rendering of our outside walls. Competitively priced but I just felt that he cared about our project and was focusing on attention to detail. John was punctual, honest and hardworking, even suggesting that I purchase the materials to prove that there were no hidden costs or margins added. Overall, we all thrilled with the work and attention to detail. The Spanish style rendering is unique and the staircase gives a new look to the front of our house. John recently re roofed my garage roof and made the existing roof structure stable when my garage roof started to collapse with all the heavy rain we recently had. I found him to be very professional, considerate and reliable with good communication skills. His quote was outstanding explaining exactly what work he would be carrying and his costing so everything was transparent. John dismantled and removed from the site, rotting wooden decking and cracked up crazy paving, and replaced it with Cotswold paving slabs of our own choosing. He started work every day, earlier than expected, and worked until beaten by daylight. A person with a friendly disposition, and a professional approach to his work. The whole job took a little longer than expected, partly because I asked him to extend the work a little. He did not ask for any more than the original estimate. All in all, we are very pleased with the result, and would not hesitate to approach him for any future paving project.

Having had John do my driveway 6 years ago I had absolutely no hesitation in getting him to return to do my back garden.
