Was visiting relations in Norwich over Xmas and my laptop failed. Even worse it has all my company data on it! I went to Penny Lane Computers in Aylsham Road and they told me that my hard drive had failed and that it needed a new one. They said that there was a possibility that the old data might not be able to be recovered, which filled me with horror because I hadn't backed it up. They managed to restore all the data, changed the hard drive and did it the same day. They also sold me an external hard disk and set it up for backing up all my data, showing me what to do, how and when. I come from Fleet in Hampshire and have to say what a wonderful service this was, and the staff were so helpful, compared to my local provider of service in Fleet. Penny Lane offer a friendly service and i noticed that they were very patient from the start. They asked me for a contact number on which they used to call me. Unfortunetly, I had supplied an incorrect number. When i rang 2 days later my system was ready and they were glad i had called, because they were unable to contact me on the number i supplied. Fast Efficient Service. I would use them again, But will make sure i supply the correct number next time.
I took a computer in for repair. The fault was diagnosed accurately and fixed the same day at a very reasonable price. Staff were knowledgeable, helpful and did not try to baffle me with technical waffle. To top it all they stayed open an extra 10 minutes so that I could collect the repaired machine the same day. All in all a first class service – and I speak as a retired IT Manager. Keep up the good work.
Bought a second hand laptop for my granddaughter, just before Christmas. Had to take it back due a to problem with the screen. The problem was fixed within an hour & they phones us to say it was ready. I am very pleased with the computer & the service that we have received and would use them again.
I took my laptop in as it had stopped charging. They MISDIAGNOSED it as a faulty charger, and charged me for a new one. (That cost way more than it needed to). I had to take it back after only a week. When I took the laptop back in, they said I needed to take in the charger as well (even though I clearly stated that it was NOT the charger). I took the charger in only a few hours later that day as I had college. For a week they insisted that I HADN'T brought in the charger. But in the end they "remembered" I had, but they had "lost" it. They then kept my laptop for almost SEVEN weeks without calling me to say that they had fixed it. In the end they "couldn't" fix it. Which is complete, utter rubbish, because all it actually needed was a new part where the charger inserts.This is absolutely DISPICABLE. I am SOO shocked at the lack of care and attention, and the fact that they tried to con a 16 YEAR OLD GIRL. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Moreexpand_more
