With nearly eleven years' experience in the Baby and Toddler Swimming industry, Water Babies Leicester and Rutland provides baby and toddler swimming lessons to customers throughout the local area. Founded in 2002, the business is situated in Melton Mowbray.

Teaching clients to teach their babies and toddlers how to swim, the company provides local people with a professional, carefully constructed program. With pools in Leicester, Thurmaston and Loughborough, Uppingham, Oakham,Grantham, Sleaford and Melton Mowbray. All of our teachers are fully qualified staff, the course is designed to teach your baby to swim as soon as they are physically able and learn vital life saving skills.

The multi-award winning programme is structured yet gentle; centred around the needs of each individual child.

Water Babies classes have enabled at least eight children within the last 2 years to save themselves from drowning.

Baby swimming is great for all aspects of your baby's physical, mental and emotional development, making them fitter, stronger and more alert.
Having fun and enjoying the water is our primary aim, Water Babies rarely feel like they are in a lesson. However because the course is highly structured, most will be happy swimming distances underwater by about 30 months, then naturally start swimming on the surface as their strength increases. It also provides the perfect opportunity to make new friends and have fun.
Water Babies staff have been fully trained and equipped to carry out our new Covid 19 safety and cleaning measures to the highest standard.
Pre-swimming lesson communication informs customers of the rules of the facility and social.
Distancing requirements; health self-declarations are a pre-requisite to attending lessons; first aid kit contains suitable PPE; swimming teachers have been trained in social distancing guidelines and in the latest guidance for first aid and CPR.

With instructors that are amongst the most highly trained and regulated in the UK, they must all attain their full national teacher qualifications before completing a unique 11 day Water Babies training, moderated by an external examiner.

Water Babies classes are kept small and are generally very sociable and fun occasions for both carers and babies.

The business is owned by Chris and Charlie Craven.
Charlie has been in the Baby and Toddler Swimming sector for 11 years, having been involved in Water Babies Nottingham and Derby, prior to buying their own Water Babies business in Leicestershire.
