To answer some recent questions We are a small friendly group of about ten members and train only on a Saturday from 10am until 12pm. You will find us at Oak Park Leisure Centre Walsall Wood in squash court number two. It takes about six weeks to gain some confidence and by then you will know whether you wish to continue, those members who take up our art do so for many years. We don't have lots of new people starting and leaving but new members are always welcome.
We try to make training interesting and enjoyable, you work to your own ability, which means that this is an art anyone can learn. Our small group is a mixture of male and female members aged from 16 to 55. However at our discretion we do make the occasional exception for younger members 14 to 16 but you would need parental consent and show a genuine commitment to training. We aim to keep costs down. Memberships is payable to Japan in January 2016 for members who decide to join.
You do not need any special clothing at first but, a loose track/jogging suit is recommended as you will spend some time on the floor, eventually you may want to purchase a black karate suit. We train on mats so only socks or tabi footware alowed.
Next training session is on Saturday 14 June 2016. However not all members might be present so it is a good opportunity to give it a try. Please note that this session may be cancelled at short notice if there are too few members to make the class viable.
Classes back to normal on Saturday 21 June 2016.
