Very pleased with the work of Peter and his team. They worked so hard and were pleasant and helpful and kind to us as we are an elderly couple. Peter even stopped work so I could go on a zoom call so it was not disrupted while they were working. Would highly recommend this company.

Just finished using Peter and his team for the second time in a yesr of so on two different houses. Delighted both times with the service I got and the issues we had have noted been resolved. Would highly recommend.

Had VJR Roofing out twice over the past 18 months having suffered leaks in the front and back bedrooms of my semi detached house. Both seemed to be resulting from the old chimney stacks on both sides of the roof. They came to take a look, suggested they could sort it, then had to wait ages for them to sort it (based on them saying they would be coming then not coming and saying other work or the weather got in the way of it being possible). After each visit, as soon as we had any serious level of rain following them, the roof leaked again causing damage to the bedroom ceilings of which one had already been repaired after the first visit. When I dared to suggest that the work was not ok, I was told that it was and that there had been enough rain to test it. I found his manner aggressive and condescending, and if I raised my voice back to speak over him he suggested that I was being out of order. Paid both times in cash, had no paper work and this week following the second time we have had leaks (on both stacks this time) I contacted him to say it was not ok again, he called me and then suggested AGAIN that there had been rain so no reason it shouldn't have happened sooner if the work was not sufficient. He came round on Monday 10th Feb to 'take a look' then suggested that there was nothing else he could do so no point taking a look. Again rude and condescending. Fortunately for me paid me my money back for the 'work' they had done £520 (so not a small amount). I have today had a professional roofer come take a look who is fixing the problems on the roof now. He identified that there was not enough (and never had been enough) lead on the end of the back stack so it would leak into the house. He also found some covering that had been put in to try patch the middle of the stack to stem the leakage, this was the handy work of VJR, it was insufficient and had holes in it! He has fixed it appropriately and taken images of it all which I shall attach where appropriate to this review. Front stack being fixed too. Massive botch job from VJR, clearly either lacking in capability or could not be bothered doing a proper job just wanted some cash in hand but feared being reported hence returning the monies to me. Any roofer worth their salt should have been able to identify the lack of lead on the back stack. Avoid at all costs, unless you want a slap dash job doing at a time that is convenient for VJR whenever they can be bothered turning up!Moreexpand_more

Peter and his team replaced my ridge tiles and did loads of small repairs to gutters, fascia boards and pointing. Peter talked me through all the options, which was massively helpful. They arranged the scaffolding, got all of it done, swept and tidied and the scaffolding went within 24 hours. Neat, efficient and excellent job all round.

VJR have just completed my roof (a 3 bedroom semi). They arrived at 7am on the Tuesday they worked hard none stop until 2. 30pm, it was an extremely hot day but that didn't deter the team. They were back again the next day, prompt at 7am worked hard again none stop and completed the whole roof by 1. 30pm. Cleaned up everywhere as best they could considering the scaffolding. I am very impressed with VJR Roofing, they were fast, efficient, polite and even my dog enjoyed them being around. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone in need of a good reliable roofing company. I didn't have to do anything Peter arranged everything. Totally trustworthy.

Just wanted to recommend VJRoofing as a great family business - had excellent experience on a tricky job but Peter, Ryan and the team were quick, clean (the patio/front door step was tidied when they left then when they arrived) and courteous to me and my neighbours (terraced house). Keeping fuss to a minimum (despite scaffolding/lorry/vans needed) they were great - totally recommend them.

We were referred to vjr and Peter came out to quote to replace our roof, repoint the chimney and replace the bay window roof. We agreed a price and date and the completed the work in approx 4 days. Peter was on hand to oversee the work and his team were polite, friendly and efficient. They cleared up at the end of each day and we found them approachable and happy to help. Came out to fit a velux window. Peter was a pleasure to do with and his 2 lads that fit the velux were great, polite and pleasant. Would highly recomend peter and his company. Will definitely use again for anymore roofing 10/10.

Peter and his team did a great jobs at installing 3 velux windows in our attic. They were in and out in two days, left the attic very clean and were very friendly and accommodating. Two weeks on and all is well, there are no leaks and it looks great. Cheers guys.

Excellent job all round; I appointed VJR Roofing on a commercial job in the centre of Leeds, and Peter and his team worked tirelessly for 2 weeks and completed the job well in advance of the deadline; I received continual updates on progress, and Peter escorted me around the job once complete and explained all the work that VJR had done…I'm very satisfied with VJR's work and would happily recommend;.

I hired VJR Roofing to replace my slate roof of my back to back terraced property, and replace it with a tiled roof. I found them to be a very efficient, well organised team. Work was done very quickly after receiving quote. They were here by 7:30 both mornings starting work, they were very tidy, window sills and door sills were wiped clean, windows were pushed closed so that dirt wouldn't get in, then would open again when done. They were very courteous around the garden, taking great care with plants and flower, work was of very high quality, would definitely use them again, highly recommended.

Pete has previously helped me with a small roof repair and I had no hesitation asking him to later on do a full re-roof along with new gutters, fascias, soffits and cladding. The customer service is great, with ongoing communication from first contact to finish. Even with temperamental weather the job was finished in 2 days and they ensured all debris was cleaned up outside afterwards. I would highly recommend the Pete and VJR team to anyone needing help with their roofing.

Peter was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. After requesting a call back he got in touch within hours and came round to our house at a convenient time and offered a good value quote. We were happy to accept his quote straight away as it was cheaper than most of the quotes we had. When undertaking the work he did what he said he would when he said he'd do it which is rare in our experience of tradesman. The work is of a good quality and we'd definitely recommend VJR to family and friends.

Our house has needed a new roof for a while, after searching through the internet came across VJR Roofing, reading through the positive reviews decided to give them a call. Pete came out the same day, after receiving a very competitive quote a few days later decided to give them the work. We would like to thank Peter and his team for a professional job on re-tiling our roof, fitting pvc to dorma and installing a Velux window. We would have no hesitation in recommending VJR Roofing, we were kept informed at all times, scaffolding and skip turned up on time, very clean and tidy. Skip was collected on the same day the job was completed and the scaffolding the day after.

Would highly recommend done an excellent job on my garage roof today.

VJR Roofing have just completed a partial re-roof, double velux install, gutter renewal and dry verge installation at my house. Peter and his team did a brilliant job and kept me informed throughout.
