Urchin Studios

I�m totally proud of all the work that I�ve done with Urchin Studios, including a full EP in 2009. They are a completely unique, friendly, funny, highly-skilled team who are somehow able to give the artist what they want creatively whilst keeping them on time and in budget. This is in contrast to so many studios where the staff don�t give a monkey about your project, and at worst where their attitude is detrimental. Urchin�s gear makes you sound better than you are, the space itself is totally conducive to getting the best out of the artist (something other studios overlook), and there are loads of instrument, percussion and mixing options so that you come out of sessions surprised at how much your recordings, and your own knowledge, have grown. If you want a fleet of runners and an ice sculpture then you might not get it here, but if you want to make the best music you can on whatever budget, then I whole-heartedly recommend Urchin for the job. Plus you'll most likely have fun doing it.

If you want a friendly, laid back recording session, that also doesn't fail to push and enhance your music in nothing but a positive way, go to Urchin. Pop down down the cafe with the boys at lunch, joke around, and do as much or as little recording as you want at really good prices. They will bend over (perhaps not all the way-but hair on the floor) backwards to help you! ***** 5 stars.
