Absolutely disgusting service, I ordered a taxi yesterday (19/01/2021) for starters the taxi was late, said it had arrived when it hadn’t which left me stood in the rain, secondly the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt, thirdly the driver was speed even after being asked several times to slow down, due to me being pregnant, he was very rude, when arriving at our destination my partner went to take our shopping out of the boot, he then drove off with his boot still open and a bag of our shopping still in the car, we then had to wait an hour for the driver to return with our shopping where he was rude again, when we rang the taxi company to tell them what had happened we got the same rude behaviour, they spoke like what the driver did was completely acceptable, we were told that the reason for him doing what he did was because he was in a hurry to get to another job, I will not be using this service again and I wouldn’t recommend them either.
Ultimate have to be the worse taxi company ever. We have now given up even giving them a chance. Always late and when you do get through to chase the taxi the operators are so rude. More interested in smoking in their booth than to help, customer service training is certainly missing. Stay away from their "drug" fuelled business.
I was waiting at Birmingham airport to be picked up but no Ultimate taxi around tried to ring the company office to inquire three times and no one answered the phone so I had to phone my daughter to try and contact them, luckily she got through, the taxi was there but the driver was given the wrong phone number of my mobile which had a 7 instead of a 2 on the end this was after I went through my mobile number 3 times to check that the person who took my booking had got it right, the next day I went in to the office to ask why the driver had been given the wrong number and all I got was that from this person was that she was not there on that night and did not know why the mobile number was wrong as she was the person that took the order in the first place so it did not matter who was on duty they would have given the number that she put down, she tried to tell me that I gave her the 7 as the last number of my phone which when she checked she could have altered as I was not able to see what she was doing on the computer, finally I will say that the driver was at least very polite and he gave me the number he had been given so he could not be to blame, at least he came within minutes of being given the right number, I will not be using this company again unless they get better staff managing the office.
My friends and I recently had a terrible experience with Ultimate Taxis. We pre-booked a taxi and were quoted a set price for it but when the driver turned up he asked us for 50% extra upfront. Nothing had changed with regards to our booking and when I called their office they admitted the change and said that if we didn't pay the new price up front then the taxi would leave. We were in the middle of the countryside, over 10 miles from town, and it was getting late so we paid it. The journey itself was no better as the driver was, at times, vastly in excess of the speed limit (highlighted by the need for very harsh braking when approaching speed cameras) and none of the seats in the rear of the vehicle had head rests fitted. When I tried to make a formal complaint over the phone they hung up on me and I have had no reply to my written complaint. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Ultimate taxis are the worst company I would ever use to book my taxi! It was my friends birthday and booked the taxi within a reasonably time limit before we needed it, it never turned up and had up running all around Newport town to get the taxi after waiting Half an hour we rang the company who refused to answer the call and when getting to the office we were greeted by an abusive receptionist who swore at us and refused to listen to our complaint! Just because ultimate taxis have to monopoly of Harper Adams doesn't mean they can promise innocent people a taxi and never honour the booking! This is the example of bad business and greedy businesses! I would never use this company by choice ever again. Thank god for central taxis hopefully will take over from ultimate! Iv been left very angry and upset by the treatment especially the swearing off the receptionist and I doubt they will ever improve it! Awful service.
Ultimate Taxis were terrible. Over the years that I've used them, the few times they've bothered to turn up for a booking the drivers have been polite. However, considering how terribly overpriced the taxis are, I would definitely not recommend them, especially factoring in the fact that they probably won't even bother to turn up. I would like to say this is a one time thing but it has happened roughly every other time I've ever sought to book a taxi from Newport. Absolutely disgraceful.
