Luke was recommended to me by my sister. I asked Luke to replaster all the ceilings on all 3 floors of my house in order to remove the nasty and outdated artex. This included up two high stairwells. He also replastered some walls that were cracked and damaged. He did an excellent job of some very hard work - the plaster is smooth, we just painted right over and everything looks beautiful. He had to make some unexpected repairs while completing the work which he did on his own initiative and without additional charge. He was polite, courteous, and a joy to have in the house. He worked so hard to ensure everything was completed to the promised timescales and even though he must have been exhausted at the end of each day, still wanted to hoover. I would very highly recommend him.

Luke removed old render for one wall of our room, then re-rendered the wall, and skimmed that and the rest of the room. He did a professional job and coped with a few challenges; including the sagging window frame that he sorted, and a fireplace that we found only had hardboard to cover it, was replaced with plasterboard and sealed properly to give a very professional finish.

Luke was tasked with removing some horrid artex from my living room walls and ceiling and also my kitchen. The job was difficult because we were unable to remove some of the furniture out of the living room. Luke was very accommodating and literally just got on with it on the date in question. He worked like a devil according to my wife and transformed the living room and kitchen in 2 days. The quality of the work was excellent and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to my friends or family.

Luke was one of five who quoted to plaster two rooms in our 1904 mid terrace. Whilst Luke was not the chepaest we were very impressed with his quote, attention to detail and personality. It also helped that the reviews of Tyler plastering were very good. It has been 3 months since Luke finished and we are still as happy with the results as we were from day one. Luke was quick but the quality did not suffer; you can not see the gaps left by my dodgy dry linning. We used another plasterer previously for the romms downsatirs and the quality of Luke's work really shows. We wish we had used Luke first. We have had to do very little to no filling and sanding and the paint has finished exceptionally well. So whilst Luke was not the cheapest we believed we saved in time and money as the prepartion for paint has been so minimal (we have had to sand and paint many times downsatirs due to the poor job causing huge amounts of dust). Luke Tyler was a real 'life saver' for us. We had had our lounge re-plastered and the previous guy had made a right mess of the job, it was really terrible and it needed re-doing which made it even harder than doing it the first time. Luke rose to the challenge and produced a perfect job. My only regret was not giving him the job in the first place as I had gone for a cheaper price! Once again, my lesson is - you pay for what you get and Luke will deliver quality work at a realistic price.

Just had the majority of a 1930’s house boarded and plastered by Luke Tyler (May 2013). A lot of work was completed to an extremely high standard in such a short space of time, with complete dedication and massive attention to detail! Some of the rooms, the kitchen in particular, was particularly tricky, with a curving ceiling and walls that were out of true. This looks a hundred times better and has completely changed the dynamic of the room. Luke is a friendly character, true to his word and very professional by nature. Very tidy with absolutely no issues and will happily recommend to anyone in need of plastering / rendering services. You will not be disappointed! Will be booking again to sort out another wall or two once completed some plumbing work. (5 Star *****).

We live in a flat and have been renovating our cellar. Luke came in November (2012) and plastered the stairwell and all the walls and ceilings in our new ‘lower ground floor’. It took 2 days; first day the stairwell and the small lobby at the bottom and the second day the main room. One of the walls in our main room needed a thick coat to make it vertical so that took longer with the extra layer but he got it all done in the time quoted. He has such great attention to detail - as he also noticed one of the plasterboard walls around the window recess was slightly out of true and made a point of making it vertical as the daylight coming in would make the angle more obvious! He worked so hard and I was always pleasantly surprised how much he managed to achieve in one day. The plastering is just beautiful; he was so professional and really clean and tidy – a real pleasure to have around. We had similar quotes for the job but I just really warmed to him, he is so likeable and we had lovely chats whilst he was with us and he was very considerate of the fact we had 2 very small children and shut the safety gates and also watched how he carried his materials in and out and cleaned up completely at the end of each day. We have yet to finish the ‘lower’ bathroom, so we will definitely be getting him to do that and we have already recommended him to several people. After Luke plastered our bathroom ceiling, we asked him back to do the ceilings and walls in our hallway, stairs and landing. As before, he has done a wonderful job and we are very pleased with the result. The hall has been transformed! He is a very professional and efficient young man and highly skilled at his craft. He works hard and is reliable, always arriving when he says he will. He works with a minimum of disruption and keeps the work area very clean and tidy. In addition, he is charming and a pleasure to have around. We would have no hesitation in recommending him and would always be happy to use him again.

Hallway plastered upstairs and downstairs. All work carried out as agreed to a very good standard. Luke was punctual and hard working throughout.

Luke did a cracking job of plastering our bathroom and tidying up where we had the electrics rewired. He was on time, worked non stop and left the walls looking like new. He's not the cheapest, but I've found that you get what you pay for when it comes to plastering, as with most things. For the sake of a few extra quid, the walls were flat, smooth and plumb. Easy to paint on and no mistakes or botches. Not usually the case when I've paid less for plastering. Luke is also a lovely bloke who's down to earth and when he left I felt I'd made a new mate. He's coming back in December to do my living room. Can't wait to decorate.UPDATE: Luke did our living room. It was Wall to Wall Artex and a Hideous Stone Fireplace. Got Luke in last week to sort out a tatty bedroom ceiling. Luke is punctual, polite and of a friendly disposition. He worked hard and has given us a very nice flat ceiling with a smooth finish, first class. Highly recommend this young man, got him to come back this week to do another two ceilings. Fair price you will not be dissappointed.

We've had Luke in to plaster for us on three different jobs now (two ceilings and a kitchen), and he's done a good job every time - the ceilings are absolutely flawless. We have happily recommended him to friends and have no qualms about recommending him here - he's been reliable, hard working and does a cracking job for a fair price. Book him - you wont regret it.

Luke did a great job, boarding and skimming our kitchen ceiling and walls. It was great value for money and I would definitely recommend him! I have got some more plastering work coming up, and I will definately be using him again.

Luke and his colleague did an excellent job with replastering the ceiling in my sitting room and hallway. He was courteous and professional. His costings were fair. I will certainly have him back to assist with the project.

Luke was half the cost i'd been quoted elsewhere, He turned up exactly when he said he would. They say 'no job too big' so I thought I'd put him to the test - Board and extend the ceiling, remove and skim artex, repair large ceiling holes, repair large hole in a wall, skim the awkwardly boxed staircase, and board / skim the cavity and surround where I'd fitted french doors. I'm sure Luke will point out a few jobs I've missed! Thanks very much Luke, I'll be back when it's time to do the bathroom!

Rendered and skimmed chimney breast in prep for wood burner installation. Would recommend Luke again in a flash. Good quality work, reasonable price and - perhaps most importantly - totally reliable, a rare quality among tradesmen.

Luke patched a hole in our lounge ceiling, reboarded and then skimmed the whole lot. He provided a professional and quick service at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Tyler Plastering Services.
