Trusted Friends (TF) were the kindest, and most caring people before and after our boy Spot’s passing. My last dog was put down at the vets and taken away by them after the event and his ashes arrived a week later. It was awful, and gave me very little closure. This time, for my boy Spot, I knew I couldn’t let that happen again. Once I knew of the possible date, I contacted TF 4 days before, not knowing if it was going to happen for definite, but TF were incredibly kind and were sympathetically and kindly flexible for me putting in a tbc reservation. I knew I wanted to have full control over the passing of and grieving for my boy. I wanted to be the one who took him to them, and I wanted to have time with his body, for final goodbyes and closure. TF catered to that, and to every other need I had. Our boy was taken by me to their on site log cabin, and inside was a raised table bed, where he was laid down and gracefully covered to his neck with a blanket. I was able to sit in there with him for over an hour, and that is something that I will never be able to thank TF for enough. They are the reason why I have closure over the loss of the best friend i’ve ever had. This type of experience may not be for everyone, but TF look after everyone, they’ll collect your pet from your house and bring you the ashes. I again wanted to be the one who collected the ashes and to be the one who brought him home, TF made that possible. The cremation was quick, the urn box was beautiful, the ashes stored in a very dignified way. They also provided nose and paw prints, and most emotionally, cuttings of his fur. A beautiful card of sympathy from all at TF and certificate of individual cremation were also in the items I collected. I really cannot speak high enough of all at TF and the service they provide, and the incredible support they give. Thank you to all at TF for giving the most beautiful boy the most beautiful and dignified send off. When it was time to say goodbye to our dear Lenny, we got a lot of comfort knowing that he would be picked up by Alison and her team. We wanted an individual cremation and it was reassuring to know he was in the hands of people who love their pooches. This made the sadness of losing him much easier to deal with. He was home delivered in a beautiful heart-shaped box a few days later. Little touches like his paw print and his certificate and cards gave him the send off he deserved.

Having lost our beautiful boy Alfie, we left him in the hands of Trusted Friends, who collected him from our house and returned his ashes a few days later. The whole process was done with complete respect and dignity to Alfie, and the understanding of the pain and heartbreak we as a family were going through at the time. My Mum and I would like to thank the Trusted Friends Team for their compassion and understanding when we had to say goodbye to our wonderful labcross Max at the grand age of 15yrs 8mths. Special thanks to Lisa and Jemima who treated Max with dignity and respect. Max was our world and one of the hardest days of our lives was made easier knowing he was in good hands. We are so thankful to you all for your kindness and I would have no hesitation recommending your services to others.

I had the agonising decision of having my 14 yr old Staffie PTS because of aggressive cancer and she was becoming sick. Alison was so lovely and kind when she arrived at my house to transport Melfi back to the Crematorium. Alison was gentle, caring and compassionate when she took my baby and there was a lovely little bed and pillow made up for her in the transport. When talking about what casket and special requests I wanted, it was all taken care of again, in a caring and understanding way. She was sent to the rainbow bridge with the upmost compassion. I can't rate and value them enough for what Alison did, really helped an already very fragile and sad situation. Thank you Alison and team.

We were recommended Trusted Friends by a friend and I can honestly say that we were overwhelmed with the care and compassion given to our beloved Beagle Buddy. Sadly he was put to sleep on November 20th and Alison collected him from the vets afterwards. She kept us updated throughout and we even took the opportunity to visit Ridge Hill Farm and say a final goodbye. Buddy looked beautiful and the care given to him was second to none. Saying goodbye really gave us some closure as a family too, especially our two boys. We cannot recommend Alison and her team enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking care of Buddy and for all the compassion that you have shown us as a family.

I have had to use Trusted Friends twice now and cannot recommend them highly enough, this is the way I want my dogs cared for at this horrible time, they are so kind, compassionate and give you as much time as you need. My girls were both treated with the utmost care and dignity, just hoping its a while before I see them again so at your time of need contact these lovely people.

Earlier this year I was to return to New Zealand with our 20 year old cat, Sindri, in March. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was unable to make the journey home with me. I had a very emotional month with him and in April we decided he had become too ill to travel. My husband returned from New Zealand a week before I was due to fly back, to say his goodbyes. We did not want to leave him behind so I contacted Trusted Friends. I spoke with Alison on the Tuesday afternoon and were due to fly home on the Wednesday evening. She met us at the vets Tuesday evening after he had been put to sleep. He was placed on a lovely pet bed in her vehicle and a pet blanket was place on him. Alison had Sindri cremated and returned his ashes to us in Bicester prior to our flight on Wednesday. Her kindness and understanding was so appreciated and the service could not be faulted. Sindri now sits in our lounge in New Zealand where the sun comes through the window. We would like to highly recommend the service and understanding of how Trusted Friends and in particular Alison, for the service provided to us. Absolutely admirable in every way. Words can not give justice to the service, care, dedication, compassion, thoughtfulness this team provide. Undoubtedly the best service you will receive in comparison to others I have received. Respect given to your pet is second to none, even after the event they remain compassionate and understanding. You are talked through what will happen and they are happy to answer any questions you have sensitively. They are not pushy but will suggest things that, during your initial stage of grief, you may not have considered but may find comforting and invaluable. The most articulate, warm, caring people in the community. A sterling job and most excellent service.

After the sad loss of our dog, Ben, pets at rest arrived within 30 mins and gave him the kind of service he deserved. First class. I would have no hesitation in recommending pets at rest to anybody. Thank you Alison, so much.

Pets At Rest picked up Sam, our beautiful Yorkshire Terrier and gave us the service that we wanted but what the vet couldn't guarantee us. I wanted Sam to be picked up from the vet's on his own. They brought him back to us the next day in a beautiful casket with his name on. We don't know what we would have done without Pets At Rest, we would have had to wait at least a week if we had gone through the vets and we wouldn't have coped with this. We wanted Sam home.
