Not happy. Been with this company four years… DD bounced yesterday by genuine mistake and within 24hrs they were demanding a £45 fee for the policy to remain active. Was told not to bother making a complaint would be wasting my own time. Had no choice but to pay and of course they immediately set the DD back up no issues with the click of a button. Thieving ***ts.
As a broker they have failed to send my required documents to Trade Wise Insurance company which ended up myself receiving a Notice of Cancellation letter from the insurance underwriter (Trade Wise) because of the outstanding document that was NOT sent to the Trade Wise from Think Insurance Broker. I have a proof of email which shows that I have sent all the required documents to my broker which is Think Insurance on the 9th December 2021 and when I called Trade Wise (underwriter) today (20/12/2021) they said they have requested the documents from think insurance on the 9th December but Think Insurance failed to send the required documents and if as a customer I did not chase this; then they were going to cancel my insurance after 14 day period which would effect my insurance background/history in a really bad way. Overall, I spoke to the Think Insurance customer services today and they have also confirmed that they have failed to send the required documents which means they have failed to do their task/job. I am not happy with the service that think insurance has provided so far, I will not return to them again. As a customer, I had to chase both of these companies up to fight for my policy from getting cancelled. Think Insurance was not even aware of the outstanding document if I did not call them and talk about the letter I have received. Once I have called the Think Insurance then they have finally sent the required document to Trade Wise today (on the day of receiving Notice of Cancellation). Again, I am not happy. In my opinion, Think Insurance did not meet the FCA Regulations in this case/scenario.Moreexpand_more
Had a quote with Tom. His approach was friendly, warming and understanding. He got me a quote very quickly after going thru my details and promise to even reduce it further, which he did! I am very much sure THINKINS is blessed to have someone like Tom and for me, Tom is a blessing in disguise. THINKINS, probably the best agent…….
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND LET OTHERS KNOW NOT TO AS WELL. Having set up new traders policy was contacted 5 days later AT AROUND NOON of that day, to be told that my insurance had been voided from inception because a CCJ which I believed was settled/satisfied wasn't. I don't want to go into reasons why I genuinely thought it was settled but evidently it isn't, but at no point was I trying to be dishonest. Having accepted that the insurance had been cancelled I asked for immediate refund of deposit paid as policy was voided from inception (no cover given). I was, at the time of call, 30 miles from home in a field with my dogs, with no insurance to drive my car home, or money to be able to arrange alternative insurance cover to enable me to drive home. I was told that the insurer would be contacted and someone would call me back regarding refund. I made them aware again I was standing in a field 30 miles from home. I sat in my car 30 miles from home with my 3 dogs for nearly 4 hours before I realised they were not calling back as promised. I spoke to another agent who explained within 2 minutes even if a refund was issued it would not credit my account for 3 to 5 days. I had waited nearly 4 hours for this info. I asked how in this case they suggested I get home? I have no money as they have it and wont be returning it for 3 days minimum and no insurance to drive myself and dogs. This is not our problem was the response nothing we can do about it. I could go on further but hopefully I have painted a picture that this company care about nothing other than taking your money regardless of whether they do this ethically or otherwise. The best bit about this whole saga is that they want to charge a £100.00 cancelation fee, for supplying no cover, leaving me stranded in a field for 4 hours resulting in a £120 cab fee to get home before hyperthermia set in. Please NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND SPREAD THE WORD BEFORE ANYONE ELSE GETS ROBBED BY THEM.Moreexpand_more
First time around I spoke to Jamie, he helped me a lot to sort all my insurance out, got my details over but I had to leave him because I didn’t quite have the car yet! I just wanted to find the quote! Which he helped me do! So I rang back and carried on my conversation with Luke! He got all my details up quick and we carried on from where we left off! I’m happy with the call and how quick the service was! Thank you very much Luke and Jamie.
I took my insurance out with Think just under a year ago. Had so many problems over that time. First off, they are so expensive. I payed £335 up front and then over £160 per month for the remainder of my policy. This was all with a black box. Secondly. Within a few weeks of me taking out my policy, I had a letter through the door saying that my policy had been cancelled and I had been driving around as a brand new driver, uninsured. Completely unaware that that had happened. When I phoned to complain, there was no answer on the phone so I wrote an email to them. Granted, the email was responded very quickly but in it, I was called a liar and told that it was my own fault that I had had my policy cancelled. I had no record of being asked to provide the documents that they had supposedly asked for when I took out my policy and to this day, I can assure anyone who asks that phone recordings will prove that I was never asked for these documents. So after explaining this situation, my policy was reactivated ans within the next 12 hours I had sent off the details. Throughout my policy I have been on and off the phone with the company asking how a can better my score, because despite in my opinion, I was driving perfectly. Only driving in the day, not speeding etc. My score was continuessly going down. When ringing them to ask how I could better it, they were no help whatsoever and so in the end I just ignored my score. It was going down all the time anyway, regardless of how I drove. About 9 and a half months into my policy, I bought a new car as the one I'd originally taken my policy out on was spending far too much time in the garage. I asked for a quote to transfer my policy from one car to the other. I was quoted nearly £1000, with a black box to finish the remainer of my policy. I was not paying that because I am on an apprentice wage and £1000 is not the kind of money that any 17 year old has lying around. Yet this insurance company is supposed to support 17-25 year old drivers. I asked about cancelling my policy and they told me that I wouldn't get my one years no claims and I'd have to pay a large sum to cancel. On the 1st July this year I opened up a new policy on my other car. July to July was my existing policy so as far as I was concerned, my policy was over on the other car and I had my one years no claims at this point. I phoned today asking how I'd get my one years no claims and the responder was so unbelievably rude. He said even though it was only a matter of days until it has been a full 365 day year I couldn't have it as I hadn't completed my policy. So not only am I not driving that car, it's no longer in my name, but all black box records are being logged back into my account despite me not even driving it. I had notified the company a few weeks ago saying that I'd insured another vehicle and stopped driving the insured car and was told that that was my every right because it had been a year from July. The man on the phone got very defensive and made out that I was calling him a liar when those words did not come out of my mouth at all. He told me that it wasn't July that I took out my policy which is a blatent lie as I passed my test in July and insured my car the same day. Moral of all of this is, Think insurance is an over priced company, that prays on young drivers to take all the money they can get. The black box system is a joke and doesn't record scores properly. All bar one customer service calls I have taken have been so unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I Would advise any young driver that gets a quote off this company to turn around and find another one. I've just insured with more than smart driver and the difference between customer service, price etc I've noticed straight away is a million times better than think insurance. I am Not a happy customer at all.Moreexpand_more
I rang Think Insurance for a convicted driver quote. I have a tendency to be a little heavy footed, especially while in the presence of a mobile speed camera lurking, waiting to get me as I powered around the Welsh bend. Under 40mph I was not, so sure enough I have a few extra points to add to my collection. I spoke to Natalie who by the end of it could of sold me anything! She asked what I was previously quoted elsewhere and I cheekily told her a figure a little under - Because I'm a chancer! She called me back a few hours later and had beat my previous 'amended' quote. All in all I am very happy and will no doubt be back again thanks to the UK's law enforcement!
