I retained The Window Doctor to replace a sealed unit on a patio door. Made it clear at the point we spoke to make the order that I needed the work within two weeks because we were going to be selling the house and arranging viewings. I needed to chase to get a lead time, they quoted two to three weeks. I asked them to bring that time down as much as they can. There was radio silence for four weeks, beyond what I needed and their own lead time quote and so we’d already sold the house in the meantime without them doing the work on time. Window Doctor are now chasing me to pay for materials on an order they could not deliver on in time. I can’t speak as to their work, but for me they didn’t communicate their lead times accurately, didn’t tell me they wouldn’t be able to do what I want, we’re late versus their own lead time and expect me to pay for it. On the strength of that, I can’t recommend Window Doctor and I’d encourage everyone considering it to make very sure they can deliver what’s needed on time.
