The Searson Family Funeral Service

Communication was very poor. No update for a month and then told the casket hadn’t been sent because I hadn’t paid. I was waiting for someone to contact me re payment! Also told me it was out for delivery when it wasn’t. Possibly too small an order for them to care.

Can’t Thankyou Abby and Andy enough for looking after my dad Ken, Abby talking to you made everything so much easier and comforting and Andy the service you gave dad was just above and beyond. You gave my mum comfort the way you looked after dad, so Thankyou to all at the searson family. Xx.

I would like to say that Andy is very good at communicating , his way with words are really just what every funeral should sound like. Andy was made for this job, he do not miss a thing. He can turn the saddest of days into a very special heart felt story. I have attended two funerals of which Searson was able to cover and as soon as I see Andy I new that the service was going to be the best choice they could of made 10/10. A credit to Searsons.

Andy and Debbie have given my mum the send off she deserved. I can not recommend them high enough. Thankyou for making a really difficult time much easier for us all, Andy in particular is a truly amazing man who my mum would have liked, very much he really did an amazing job thankyou again.

I live in the north east of England and my late brother lived near Portsmouth. Searsons' have been fantastic from my first phone call right up to the day of the funeral. Lily from Leigh park branch is an absolute star and couldn't do enough to help me through a very difficult and stressful time, made all the more difficult as I live so far away and the funeral was arranged by e mail and telephone calls. Special thanks to Debbie and Andy who were there on the day. You are all so professional but at the same time show such understanding and empathy, I would highly recommend to anyone and once again thank you.

Searsons were absolutly wonderful following the loss of my mother. Lily at the Havant branch was professional, warm and kind and helped make a difficult task all the more bearable. I would not hesistate to recommend them to friends and family.

Would like to thank searsons especially Andy for the outstanding service we received from collection to the day the service was held ; nothing was to much trouble and made sure that my brother Jerry had the best send off any person could ever. Losing our Mum was one of the hardest things in our lives. Arranging a funeral when you are at your most emotional and vulnerable stage in your life could be stressful. Debi and Andy could not have been more amazing, kind and comforting. The Searson family made a daunting process easy for us, going out of their way to make sure everything was dignified but personal, even with logistical difficulties. We are so impressed by their service and would thoroughly recommend them. God Bless them for what they do so well.

As expected, having used Searsons before, Andy, Debbie and the family went the extra mile. The arrangements were handled beautifully and both Andy and Debbie were sensitive and understanding. They put you entirely at ease and you know you can trust them. Andy conducted the service and we all felt the utmost confidence in him. Thank you all.

We cannot thank Searsons enough for facilitating and carrying out the funeral for our beloved younger sister. Their attention to detail was exceptional and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Debi Searson kept constant communication links with the family reagrding all aspects of the funeral and let us visit our sister at the drop of a hat within their chapel of rest, this was crucial as some members of the family live 170 miles away and could not always give a definitive time to visit. The service was beautiful and burial as trouble free as we could have wished for (except the weather which unfortunately even Debi could not affect). The service provided by Andy, Deb and Lily was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They treated my Dad with dignity, care and respect and took all the worries and concerns I had about arranging his funeral away. Their professionalism shone through yet I was treated with warmth, compasssion and understanding at a very stressful and emotional time. I would thoroughly recommend them.

We came to the Searsons following a recommendation and the service, care and dedication to making our Dad's service the best it could be, was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and Andy's time finding out about Dad and the dvd of photos set to music Dad loved, that Andy spent hours on, brought a wonderful and unique feeling to the celebration of Dad's life.

A lovely family business who make you feel comfortable, at ease and relaxed. They made our difficult time easier to cope with and their charges offered really good value. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

I came across this family business by chance, not being in the area I flicked through the internet and their business profiles and reviews were excellent. Everywhere I looked the Searsons kept popping up so suggested to my aunt that she contact them. So many things that makes this business stand out: Value, service, obvious commitment, but it was friendly, informal staff that made the biggest difference. None of the formal, stiff, black suited people I have experienced before. They were relaxed, at ease, made us feel comfortable, showed interest, listed, suggested many things to make the funeral personal, they were just wonderful. I recommend the Searson family, very impressed.

I attended a funeral service the other day at the Southdowns Natural Burial Site near Petersfield. The Searsons Funeral Director provided all the arrangements, they even officiated the actual service. I have to say, and I will be placing this review around many sites because I was just completely blown away by the effort that must have gone into what can only be described as a truly moving celebration of a life lived to the full. There were these rather wonderful, and colourful, booklet with lots of photos and meaningful words. Everyone who came got a copy and I will cherish mine. The actual service was very professional, light and free from all that formality one usually experiences. Mr Searson who conducted the service was warm, friendly, very informal, almost conversational and interacted with those attending. What was going to be a twenty minutes service ended up being nearly an hour, never experienced anything like it before in my life. Being of the ‘old school’ brigade, I’m now converted and certainly a celebration of my life when the time comes is the way to go. Even though a sad day, the warmth created by the service was so well received and I take my hat off to the Searson family for putting together a lovely, wonderful and, I have to say, the best funeral I’ve ever attended.Moreexpand_more

Every detail taken care of, suggested things I had never even thought of, they made the funeral so perfect, it really was a wonderful tribute.
