The Riverside York is an elegantly furnished Victorian self-catering townhouse, overlooking the River Ouse in the centre of York, offering 5 star luxury accommodation for 6/8 guests, within easy reach of all of York's history and charm. The Riverside was established in 2008 and offers supreme style and comfort in the heart of historic York.Generously spread over three floors, the accommodation includes three double bedrooms, (one en-suite and one with twin beds option), a modern family bathroom and further cloakroom, a spacious sitting room with wonderful views over the river and a modern dining kitchen, stacked with appliances, cutlery, crockery and cookware. This house is beautiful - a credit to its owners and fully deserving 5 stars. It is furnished and equipped to the highest standard and ideally situated on the river and in the centre of town. All of the main tourist attractions (Jorvik, DIG, Castle Museum, York Minster) are within walking distance and most are only 5 minutes away - perfect when you have small children. The owners were extremely helpful with all our enquiries and we highly recommend it to all.

A party of 6, we stayed over New Year's eve for 3 nights. The location is fantastic. No need to use the car once everything dropped off. The house is superb with everything you need, even the little touches were just right. Each couple had a lovely double room. The penthouse suite is brilliant. One couple already looking at returning in summer 2009.

My wife and I visit York most December's, for Christmas shopping and a nice meal out. In 2008 we stayed at the Riverside, this was without a doubt the best accomodation we have found to date and we will definately be returning in 2009. The location is perfect, parking is included and the accomodation is of the highest standard. The fixtures, the provisions and the cleanliness cannot be faulted, and I would highly recommend this accomodation to anyone looking for a weekend away in this marvelous city.

The Riverside is a fantastic place to stay - no expense spared. There is everything you could possibly need. The furniture and fittings are all great quality. The main advantage of the Riverside though is it's location! A stone's throw from Clifford's Tower - literally! We had a really good weekend in York and would definitely stay again.
