The Ratcliffe Guest House

Our stay at the Ratcliffe was the best we have had, including top hotels. The owners were very polite and the food was excellent. We, ourselves had been in business and like to be treated as we treated our customers. This b&b ticks all the boxes. Will be returning again in the future. 5 STAR.

Such a lovely place for a french girl discovering UK for the first time ! Everything is perfect, calm room and street, guest house very far from the sea side, amazing breakfasts and wonderful hosts and services. The place to be in Paignton !

Stayed down in the Ratcliffe with my girlfriend just recently and found the place just awesome. Real chilled out place ran by Kev and Anna who are the nicest couple ever who really are ready to do anything for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Clean and spacious and best breaky ever! Definatly gotta get away down there again soon with my mates! Definatly worth a visit as loads to do and see down there which is all dead close, cheers guys!

We have stayed at The Ratcliffe twice now and have always been warmly welcomed by Kev and Anna. Great rooms, breakfast and perfect location for getting out and about. Will be back again soon!

Have stayed at the Radcliffe two years running now and have really enjoyed it both times. Its clean, in a good location and the hosts went out of their way to make me and my family welcome. The breakfast is great and we will definitely be going again.

My husband and I spent four nights at Ratcliffe House in Paignton during April this year and were extremely happy both with the high quality of the accommodation and the warmth of the welcome we received from hostess Anna and Ken. Nothing was too much trouble and when my husband unfortunately experienced a tummy upset Anna readily offered to make doctors’ appointments and to obtain medication. Overall the Ratcliffe House atmosphere was very homely, the full English breakfast a treat and the accommodation very comfortable. Marion R.

We have had several wonderful stays at The Ratcliffe in Paignton. It is a family run, very relaxing, comfortable guest house, which is extremely well run with all the facilities you would expect to find whilst staying at a high standard hotel, including t. V. , sky, wi-fi, tea & coffee making facilities, etc. Kev, Anna and Isabelle always make us so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The standard of the accommodation is excellent - very comfortable, scrupulously clean and beautifully decorated. The location is perfectly placed for all the local amenities, with the beach being 5 mins walk and the train station about the same. The sizeable breakfast was absolutely superb and the rates are incredibly reasonable for the service and accommodation offered. We highly recommend The Ratcliffe and look forward to our next visit at this exceptional guest house.

The Ratcliffe is positioned well for all of the facilities and amenities of Paignton, close to the sea front so in an excellent position. We stayed at the Ratcliffe May '08 and the service very good and the accommodation of good quality and very comfortable. The owners Kevin and Anna are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was top notch and the children loved it. Will definately go back and recommend this B&B to anyone.

It was so good I have been back a few times this year! The breakfast was great. The owners are always most welcoming and I would recommend going to everyone. It is real value for money.
