I moved apartments in London and had to find storage for an uncertain length of time to cope with delays in construction, so needed a moving company with its own storage facility that could be flexible on length of storage. I found Old London through a Google search and read others' reviews and obtained a quote before making my decision. Ashley seemed reassuringly relaxed and competent in these initial communications, an impression which was borne out during our dealings with one another. I had the entire flat contents except clothes moved out, put in storage for what ended up being five months (during the winter) then moved in to my new place in February. Nothing smelled funny, nothing was damaged (including delicate metal-mounted art and antique furniture), my large heavy bed was disassembled and reassembled perfectly, everyone was polite, helpful and extremely professional. I can't recommend Ashley and his team highly enough. I'll certainly be using them again next time.

Ashley and the team moved us across St Albans, packing up a two-bed terrace (incl. Loft and outhouse). The quote was competitive, and based on a pre-move visit to assess the volume of stuff, and parking situation. Boxes arrived a few days before the move, then Ashley got 90% of the packing done the day before. He and the team did the rest the following day (incl. Bed and cot), loading the van and getting out of the property with a few hours to spare - allowing us to give the place a good clean! The unload was quick and easy (I say, but I didn't have to lift any boxes! ), with all boxes dispatched to rooms according to their labels. Thanks to Ashley (and Old London) for giving us one less thing to worry about.

After a local removal company had let us down by not being able to do our move on the day we wanted we were put in touch with Old London Moving Co Ltd. Ashley was prompt to reply and accept a previous quotation. He visited site before the move to check all was well. Prior to removal day, The lads packed most of the house, all plates etc all individually wrapped. On removal day, the team came first thing, packed final items, and all went to the final destination. We has a bit of a delay exchanging, but all worked out and the team asked where the boxes were to go. All was a stressful time, but the move went totally as planned. Would be happy to recommend. We moved from St Albans to Cambridgeshire and the team of guys worked tirelessly without complaint, took the stress out of moving, didn't break or lose a single thing, assembled furniture in our new house so quickly and efficiently and even solved the problem of how to get a bed into a bedroom after we discovered it wouldn't fit! We used the Old London Moving Company to move from Finchley to Chipping Barnet in August. They were not our first choice, but a recommendation after our first choice was double booked, however, they might well have been as they proved to be very professional in every way and completely reliable. The owner, Ashley, personally attended our home to survey our requirements before providing a very competitive quote. After this we received our boxes at a time convenient to us. The move itself went like clockwork. None of our items were damaged in the move and their were no problems. This company knows its job!

The Old London Moving Company helped us move a few weeks ago and the communication was excellent from start to finish and at all times I felt they were doing everything they could to be accommodating, friendly, professional, reassuring and to accommodate any special and specific requests. At a time when tensions are naturally high, this is hugely appreciated. Their flexibility and old fashioned, first class customer care was refreshing and hugely appreciated. We felt they were overestimating how much we had, but they know what they are doing and got it exactly right. But they listened to my mistaken beliefs and were so friendly and light hearted about it, so I was just glad to see they know their business but never made me feel silly for my protestations. I would definitely use them again, and I highly recommend them to others. A five star company that is exceptionally accommodating and extremely competitive in terms of price. From start to finish, the whole moving experience was carried out exceptionally well. Ashley Cain was very relaxed and competent, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Ashley and his team did a local move for us within St Albans and he and the team surpassed our expectations of a removal company. Ashley was informative and helpful from our first enquiry through to picking up empty boxes at the very end, and his team that carried out the move were hardworking and professional. We were unsure whether to use the packing service, but decided to go for it and I'm so glad we did - the cost was relatively low in the grand scheme of moving house, and such good value for money when the entire house was packed for us in one day before the move - it would have taken us weeks to do that ourselves in between busy family life. We have (finally! ) finished unpacking and have not found one damaged item - that is impressive! I highly recommend The Old London Moving Company, and two other friends have since used them and been equally impressed.

Very good removals company, I am glad that I chose them. Ashley was very helpful throughout, especially in the early planning stages when there are so many things to consider. My move was a bit fiddly, with lots of stairs and two drop off destinations but nothing was too much trouble for Ashley and team, they were calm and professional throughout. The packing was brilliantly efficient, too. And no nasty surprises throughout, they exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

The Old London Moving company were very professional. They dealt with our enquire in an efficient manner and were able to carry out an exceptional job and were very competitively priced. The packer (Barry) came the day before and was amazing! He packed all our fragile items as well as our kitchen in less than half a day and we had no breakages. The guys that came to do the move were brilliant - very efficient and were fantastic at loading and unloading at the new house even though we didn't know where we wanted things! I would definitely recommend this company and if needed use them again.
