This is a Cowboy Company. I am a landlord and they did some work on a house for me. After paying 600 quid, and issuing me with a safety certificate, the new tenant complained that the lights kept tripping. I had to get another electrician to go in to resolve the issue. I have attached a photo of what they found. How can a good electrician miss this.
We had an EICR and EPC carried out on our property and I am delighted with the service, completed the online request form and appointments were made the next day by telephone - I was a little hesitant at first sending the request into the unknown but as soon as you receive the phone call in person you know its a top service - friendly and helpful and they call to confirm estimated arrival times - really good communications and the prices are spot on - reports were the full and in the required format - invoice sent - as soon as you pay this you receive the report very soon afterwards - absolutely recommend! Thank you for a great service!
I have used The Landlord Shop for a few years now. They are most efficient. I usually just book on line and they have never let me down and are very quick to carry out work. 5* service, would absolutely use again and recommend to friends! I called the Landlord Shop last Tuesday, needing both Gas and electric safety certificates at short notice to help with a property sale. Steve was most helpful and organised a gas engineer and electrician to carry out the inspections less than 48 hours later. Both workmen turned up exactly on time and carried out the work with minimum fuss, and issues the certificates without delay. Many thanks!
Landlord's gas safety certificate was required. Booked on line, quick reply to confirm the booking had been received. Once the appointment had been made the work was carried out on time and satisfactorily. Pretty good value as well. I received the invoice on line, paid the bill on line, then received the safety certificate on line. What could be more efficient and time saving?
I am sure this is down to which subcontractor is doing your particular inspection but I was not impressed with mine. This was confirmed when I had a different electrician come to do the works to make my electrics compliant following their inspection. They did not pick up on one big problem in particular and they manufactured problems that were not there. There were 24 serious points shown in my survey but when you cut through the blarney it only related to a few problems. My boiler was said to not have the relevant tabs on this was not true and I do not believe they even looked. They also did not take my washing machine out to come to the conclusion that my water was not earthed. My report brought up a safety issue with regards alarms for fire and gas. I have smoke alarms (albeit not wired in) and next to the boiler was an alarm in full view. The quote for the work was double what I paid despite my electrician having to rectify a fault that had not even been picked up. I rang to arrange a Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate. They returned my call very quickly and were very efficient at making an appointment. The inspector turned up promptly on the day. He gave us some good information and advice and was quick and efficient doing the job. The Certificate arrived by email only 20 minutes after he left the house. We would definitely recommend this company.

Hi, I did call Steve, just after openrent co uk faild me and refunded after 2 weeks waiting for CP12. He was extremely cooperative and organised my tests in just day or two. I got email that job is done and need to be paid, my CP12 I got on email net day! I do recommend The Landlord Shop and I am sure you will get the same service as I did.
I needed a gas and electrical test really quickly. Even thought the gentleman that runs the business was on holiday, he still picked up my call and sorted out to two people to come and do my certificates. Both of those answered very quickly and were very professional and helpful. Will definitely use next year. Thanks.
