The Grove Experience

Absolutely love coming to the Grove Experience to have my hair done. The atmosphere is so welcoming, hot drinks delicious and the hair wash is amazingly relaxing! I always leave loving my haircut and fully trust my hairdresser when I ask for a restyle.

After 7 years of being a (very dyed) red head, I spent months of endless attempts and strand tests to try and go violet. My hair was in an awful state and very resistant to colour. I had previously been promised the earth by several hairdressers, before the strand test results arrived, only to be told "You should stay red". I went to The Grove Experience after a couple of recommendations from friends. I was not disappointed. Kiki worked on my strand tests to achieve the colour I had been after for so long. I had to have my hair bleached initially, in order for a semi permanent colour to go over the top. Again, something that other hairdressers stated would not be possible in the same day. I was very apprehensive about this, as I was concerned that the overall colour might be patchy or 'orange' in parts as I have dark brown roots and very dry copper ends. Kiki put me at ease about this and spent her time on my hair to achieve a very natural 'bleached' colour foils with a burgundy surround, before placing the violet over the top. She was very helpful with how to achieve the result I wanted. My hair is now in much better condition than before and after 5 hours of colouring, I was not charged anymore than a normal 'full head' of colour. Remy blow-dried my hair and did a fantastic job of making it curly and shiny, before explaining the products she had used. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is lovely - not to mention those massage chairs and head massages! They even nipped out to get me lunch. Fab place with lovely people. This hairdresser's is absolutely unbelievable! It really is an experience from the moment you walk through the door, until the moment you leave! I had a very bad experience with a previous hairdresser that ruined my hair, and this place with patience has completely turned this around. My hair is now back to all its glory and even better! But the haircut is not only the good bit, even the hair wash is lush, as you get a massage chair, and sometimes if your lucky a head or neck massage and you even get offered a free drink. I normally get a hot chocolate, but not just any hot chocolate, oh nooooo, it comes with spray cream and marshmallows, and some little sweets and a biscuit! I cant wait until my next appointment.

At Last I have found a Hairdressers that I am very very happy with, I got my hair cut exactly how I wanted it by kiki who has done an amazing cut, Thank you so much and cannot wait to come back.

I just moved to eastbourne and tried grove experience the other day. I have had the same hair dresser since I was 14 so I was really anxious about trying out a new salon. As soon as I walked in all the staff made me feel really welcome, I was offered drinks and felt so pampered. I had my hair cut with jess and I think its the best cut I've ever had. You would be crazy not to try out the grove experience.

Every single time I go I just cant wait until I can go back again. I love every minute. From the haircut and colour to the hair wash and especially the hot choc with cream and marshmallows! I am actually drooling now as I think of the hot choc and the whole experiance! Next appointment on Monday! I cant wait.

Lucy gave me time, congruence, quality and ultimately a great haircut! The salon really did live up to its name, going there was a complete 'experience'.

Today I had my first appointment with Sally at The Grove Experience. After many disappointing visits to hair salons in the past, I was hoping The Grove Experience would change that, and I wasn't disappointed. Sally put me at ease, took my ideas seriously and made some great suggestions. I left 90 minutes later looking and feeling fabulous and I would recommend Sally to anyone.

The whole experience is incredibly relaxing, yet highly professional, you are listened to when you explain what you would like done with your hair, which is very refreshing. Lucy has been doing my hair for a couple of years now, she is full of wonderful ideas to suit my hair, face shape, lifestyle etc. In fact I walked in today looking like a tramp and left feeling wonderful, great new fringe! I have been a customer of The Grove Experience since it opened, having followed my hairdresser Sally from her previous salon. I have always been delighted with how the staff have treated me - friendly yet very professional. The little extras like the massage chairs and the full drink menu are really appreciated and help make a visit into a real experience. Oh, and the quality of hair treatment is great too!

It’s not a hair appointment it’s an experience. From the moment you enter the salon you are in a different world, leave the stress and strain of everyday life behind you and enjoy some you time. From the first discussion about your hair and what you expect from your visit to the colour, wash, cut and finish you will not be disappointed. The detail, professionalism and products all speak for themselves, and let’s not forget Daisy always happy to sit at your feet and keep you company while your colour develops! : ).

I've been to The Grove Experience twice now and both times have been great. I've had Kiki do my hair both times and my last visit was before a wedding and I had many compliments on my hair, felt great! I also love that they open on a Sunday, more time for us 9-5ers to get our hair done at the weekend.
