The award-winning, Firs B&B Plymouth is situated a few minutes walk (400 yards) from the famous Plymouth Hoe seafront in Britain’s Ocean City – a beautiful historical location, steeped in military history – including where Sir Francis Drake famously played bowls when he received news of the Spanish Armada; the Royal Citadel and Devonport Royal Dockyard. If you fancy a swim, try the Tinside Lido – or for a wild swim, there are plenty of access points along the coast. For children, the extensive West Hoe playpark is next door. For the adventurous, climb Smeatons Tower for an amazing view. After walking the coastal road for a short distance (10-15 mins, ) you will reach the Barbican – a fishing harbour, famous for the renowned Mayflower Steps, with plenty of original buildings, wall murals, restaurants, pubs, gift shops, art galleries and the National Marine Aquarium to name but a few. The Firs is a short, 5 min drive from the Brittany Ferry Port. From The Firs B&B, you are perfectly placed to explore both Devon and Cornwall.

There are 7 comfortable bedrooms to choose from in the B&B, including single rooms, double/twin rooms and family rooms. All bedrooms have a TV and free wifi, with complimentary toiletries, towels, plus tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers are available in most rooms, and irons/ironing boards are available on request. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed. Additional extras include: a daily parking permit, indoor bike storage, early check-in, packed lunches, flowers (with free wine) and luxury chocolates. We are AA**** rated and ‘AA Covid 19’ confident rated.

Breakfast consists of a choice, ranging from full English to Vegetarian or Continental. Our food hygiene rating is ‘5’.
Lesley and Tony are friendly hosts and would be delighted to welcome you to their Guest House. Tony is a keen fisherman, and is on-hand to advise, should you wish to explore the local area, hoping to catch a bite!
