The East Wing at Rufford Park Lodge is a spacious five bedroom self-catering holiday cottage located in the heart of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, surrounded by countryside and close to a multitude of historic buildings, parks, attractions and activities.

We can accommodate up to ten people (plus an infant) in three double and two twin bedrooms. Our ground-floor double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with a walk-in shower room and a separate family bathroom on the first floor. Whether you are a family, group of friends or contractors working in the local area, we provide comfort and convenience under one roof. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with a large American Fridge Freezer for all the storage you might need, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer for longer stays.

As a Grade II listed property, Rufford Park Lodge retains all the original charm and character of its gothic style architecture, allowing you to step back in time and truly appreciate the historical significance of the area.

Inside, the accommodation combines original features with modern comforts, and includes all the facilities you would expect for an enjoyable and memorable stay for up to ten people. Both our dining room and lounge have seating for ten people, and there is further outdoor seating for ten, plus of course our premium hot tub for relaxing in the sun or under the stars.

Nestled within what was once the extended grounds of the historic Rufford Abbey Estate, the property has views of Deer Park from the double bedrooms and views over the courtyard from the twin bedrooms. Our private, secure courtyard is ideal for relaxation and is fully enclosed - an important feature for visitors traveling with pets.

Located in the centre of an historic area with literally something for everyone, there is plenty to keep even the most active of people busy, no matter how long your stay.

There are many sites of historical interest, great parks that can be appreciated on foot or bike, activities for all ages, numerous golf courses, inns with reputations for great food, and some excellent restaurants, many of which are featured in our interactive Guidebook app.

We are conveniently located close to Rufford Abbey, with Edwinstowe and the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre only ten minutes away, Newark twenty minutes and Lincoln only forty minutes by car. New Ollerton is close by for ATM’s, take-aways, supermarkets and pharmacies, with our local Co-op store just 3 minutes away.
