Save yourself the hassle and find someone else - the service is unreliable, disorganized, and full of promises that aren't delivered. A neighbor initially recommended Michael and installed several boilers in our building. We chose him because they offered help with plastering and decorating after installation, plus two years of free checkups and gas certificates. The installation itself was done as promised, and we even recommended him to others. However, the problems started with the promised annual checkups and certificates - included in the original quote. It’s now been two months of chasing - Michael has promised to come the next day five times, and never showed up once. On one occasion, he was in the building doing another job and said he'd pop in afterwards - another broken promise. No calls, no messages, no explanation. Just silence while we waited at home for him. To add to it all, during this time, we received a 'generic' email from him offering us an offer on a yearly boiler servicing and certification for £85. We need the certificate for short-term lets (legal requirement), and he knows this, but clearly doesn’t care. The anxiety and wasted time just isn’t worth it. I am incredibly grateful to have come across Michael, especially during a time when I felt completely helpless. He is a highly professional and responsible plumber. The incident happened at 7:45 PM when I was in an emergency situation due to a leaking pipe that left me at a loss. I contacted Michael, and despite being busy with work, he was fortunate enough to answer my call. For me, it was like seeing a light in the darkness—it gave me a glimmer of hope. After I sent him a video of the issue, Michael quickly assessed that the problem could be fixed. Although he was too busy to repair the leaking pipe that evening, he promised to come to my house at 6:30 AM the next morning. True to his word, he arrived on time, fulfilling his promise and efficiently resolving the issue. His professionalism and punctuality left a deep impression on me. I highly recommend Michael! Michael Taylor did a very competent job. He is pleasant and helpful. And his work is keenly priced. On the other hand, he is also disorganised, difficult to contact and unreliable. What should have been a small job (fitting a new boiler) took over two months from start to finish. On the very first day, Michael failed to turn up, explaining that his van had been broken into and tools stolen. I was sympathetic, of course. But then, time after time, he did not arrive as promised, with an endless range of excuses (father taken ill, somebody else's urgent emergency callout, etc, etc, etc. ) I know that many contractors struggle with time management, and that Michael's father has been unwell, but it seemed at times as if the job would drag on forever. Then, during the work, a pipe feeding my bidet hose became disconnected. I didn't notice this until I had paid his bill in full and it took dozens of phone calls, messages and, finally when all else failed, the prospect of negative feedback on this and other review sites to get him round to fix it (it took him less than an hour when he did show up). I have therefore revised the star rating upwards from my original review to reflect the fact that the job was eventually finished, but the delays and aggravatation mean that this can't be a full recommendation.This is a follow-up to my earlier review of last November. I had a new Worcester Bosch boiler installed via The Taylors Group in September. It was an extremely long process that, because of some minor snags, dragged on for two months. This weekend I returned home from a short break to find the boiler did not work - it might be a minor problem, and easily fixed, but it's the heart of winter and I am aged 72 and living alone without heating or hot water. Michael is simply not responding to calls or messages although the boiler is well under guarantee and I should be a priority client. I've found The Taylors Group to be pretty much a nightmare from the outset and would strongly advise against them.Moreexpand_more

Turned up on time, well actually 10 min early which was a good start. Michael was polite, helpful the job was done quickly without issues. Even cleaned up all the mess. Absolutely amazing service and will be on my speed dial if needed again.
