Tanks and Targets

Thank you so much for an excellent morning of clay pigeon shooting and quad bikeing. Both instructors were really good but the clay pigeon shooting one was particularly great. Thank you.

We booked the 'Triple activities' package for a stag weekend. Whilst the day was extremely good fun and a great end to a busy stag weekend it was the staff that really made it. Throughout the entire process, from booking to on the day, the staff were really kind and helpful. They were able to make a last minute addition to our booking with no fuss and all the staff on the day were kind, polite and good fun. We all had a great time and I wouldn't hesitate recommending the suppliers to anyone.

After much searching for an afternoon event for a stag do, I finally came across the Tanks and Targets web site. After checking with the groom, I made some initial enquiries. David was quick to respond to this and despite being busy that particular day managed to juggle timings and got us all in for Clay Pigeon and Quad Biking. We started at midday with a good 1 ½ hours shooting (not easy with a hangover from the night before), we had two tutors who were incredibly patient and willing to help. The groom started on the first stand by hitting two from ten and by the last stand was hitting eight out of ten, so some improvement there. The shooting was excellent, but the real star of the day was Quad Biking. I have to say that this was arguably the best experience ever. I could not believe we could have such a laugh whilst playing with our lives. It lasted a good hour+ and when finished we all wanted to get back on and do it all over again. If you are in doubt about this venue and the activities, take it from me you will have a great time and all good value. As part of a group of five, we were thoroughly looking forward to Clay-Pigeon shooting followed by Mud-buggies. Problems started right from the start as we could not do the Clay Pigeon Shooting first. When we got to the Mud Buggies track, which the website says will offer 3 buggies, only two were present, both looking clapped out. One of them in fact never started, despite the single instructor flooding the engine in a vain attempt to get it started. After a second 'instructor' repeated the same trick of flooding the engine and both demonstrating a complete lack of any engineering skill the instructor gave up. Jumped on the back of a Quad bike and disappeared, leaving our solitary mud-buggy driver unattended. So much for safety! . The instructor returned with a Quad bike offering us this instead. Of the six Quad bikes supposedly available as stated in this website, only two were operational, and these showing little sign of maintenance. One making a distinct rattling noise of loose components. We were told that the others were all faulty.As a result we all spent significant time sitting around board stiff watching two of our mates going round in circles on a quad bike, then taken on a short track as an attempted apology.whilst my turn on the Quad bike was fun, the boredom of sitting around waiting was not. Equally getting my leg burned on the exhaust, obviously missing it's guard was equally not fun.This was then followed by and hour or more of boredom waiting until the Clay-Pigeon Instructor was finally available.This could not have been presented with greater contrast. This instructor clearly knew what he was doing, and got even first time shooters taking down clays. He was highly professional and kept the Shoot highly entertaining, and also safe.For me this was only mired by the pain in my leg (due to the burn) and the fact i couldn't hold the gun still as my arms were still shaking from the Quad Bikes.In short I can highly recommend the Clay Pigeon Shooting but the Mud-Buggies and Quad Bikes are a joke, so don't waste your money.Moreexpand_more

We had great afternoon on Sunday 10th April, Myself and my boyfriend really enjoyed the quad biking and the instructor Danny was really kind by taking lots of picture's for us. I would highly recommend the place to friends and family and im sure I would book again in the near future.

A brilliant afternoon. Our instructor was incredibly helpful (and patient! ) and made us feel really welcome. Highly recommended. .

Recently booked a clay pigeon shoot for a stag party of 18 through Tanks and Targets. We all had a great day shooting at Findon, the weather was shocking but everyone had a really, really good time. The instructors were brilliant and we felt very welcome throughout with great advice and tips. We also went to a local pub afterwards as recommended by Tanks and Targets, which again, was very friendly and accommodating, giving us our own room to have a pint and something to eat. I would definitely recommend Tanks and Targets based on our experience.

I just wanted to send over my thanks to you and all the team who had an involvement with our booking last Saturday. Immense fun was had by all, both with the buggies and the clays, and it will go down in our memories as one of the main highlights of the stag weekend. (A couple of us have even started looking into starting Clay Pigeon Shooting as a hobby since coming back! ) Thanks again for all your help, Ramzi.

A great day out was had by all. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and soon had us set up on the mud buggies. The track was large as the site has ample grounds and proved good value, will book again.
