Brought these guys in to do a complex high level cinema set up. Fixed the previous job get had been messed up by unreliables. Guy called Alan took me through what was needed and gave me a sensible quote and time of job. I work from home so didn't want loads of disruption. They were tidy and did what they had to do properly. Very impressed. Recommended.

Alan is a lovely guy, but flakey. He seems to have serious commitment / time issues. We arranged to have him come in to do a simple 2/3 hour job four times and EACH time he either turned up late (and unable to do the job with various excuses) or not at all. We still haven't had the work completed having spent 2 weeks messing around with Alan. His wife rang one time to say he was in hospital with food poisoning but then let it slip that he was running late on another job that morning. Sorry for the review Alan, but you have really let us down time and time again.

On 15/1/2015, Alan, Tailor Made Installs engineer, just upgraded my 10 years old SKY dish with Mark4 new dish and a Quad LNB at the original position of the dish. He had a better idea of running the 2 new cables in connecting the TV box in the sitting room. After he inspected the loft and the house, he decided to pass the cables through the loft just above the dish in the shortest route and then passed the cables down to the cupboard and ceiling of the sitting room above the TV set. The cables are hidden by a white plastic tube at the corner of the sitting room. He did a brilliant job. He paid attention to details, instead of rushing to finish the job. His work was much better than I expected. I would recommend him to do the work again.

I needed relocation of a phone socket. After posting on FreeIndex Alan was first to respond, offered a 2 year guarantee on his work, his charge was in line with what I expected and he sounded keen so I offered him the job. He turned out to give a cheaper quote than others who responded to my job post after him. Unfortunately we had to reschedule his first visit because he had a family emergency but he told me as early as he could and came the next working day after that. He is very personable, explained exactly what he was doing, gave the job the time it needed, and did what I wanted. I then had him look at my TV installation which has developed a problem. He checked it all out, checked signal strength, and did what he could to fix the fixable. We'll use him again.

Alan of 'Tailor Made Installs' does an excellent, professional job for a fair price - with a guarantee and no call-out charge. He is both pleasant and polite and before proceeding with any job, explains clearly what he is going to do. He always covers his shoes with plastic overshoes before entering the house, which I think is most considerate. He has done two or three things for us now, including improving our television reception, which used to be appalling, and installing extra aerial sockets. I would not hesitate to call him if anything else needed doing and am happy to recommend him to anyone.

Sky dish had to be realigned after it was damaged due to building works. Also installed cable so TV could have free sat.

Alan was a godsend. Had just moved into new flat and the telecoms were a mess, with bits not connecting and some unable to work at the same time as other installations. Alan was extremely methodical, tracing the problem back to source and then fixing each item and testing that the whole system was up and running. Excellent job!

Alan installed a flat screen TV, including mounting bracket and making the wall good. Alan was a pleasure to deal with. He promptly and politely answered emails and deal with all queries, including a survey regarding a more challenging install. I recently purchased and installed a new smart TV, YouView box and surround-sound system but it was fraught with problems. Alan diagnosed the cause of the myriad of problems (none of which had anything to do with the new equipment) I had been experiencing and carried out a full resolution procedure including aerial boosting and anti-interference installation. He also successfully decommissioned an old aerial cable, installed a new one and cut out and sorted a whole bunch of extraneous wiring. Alan has also diagnosed problems with my internet connection which once resolved will enable me to properly enjoy the TV's smart capabilities as well as watching the YouView without connection breaks. I needed TV relays to four rooms in the house. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently by Alan Wickes and the cost was precisely that of his previous estimate. Alan was both very personable and extremely helpful in advising on the installation, and was thorough in carrying it out - even to the point of wearing shoe covering when inside the house! I cannot recommend him too highly.

Alan set up the Sky dish and hung the TV/surround sound for us. He was very patient as he spent a great deal of time in sorting out all the wire in each room - we rewired the house but our electrician did not label all the wire. Despite the additional time he had to take to do the job, Alan did not charge more than what he quoted originally. Alan also took time to explain to us about the wiring requirement for each room. His work is very good and very tidy. We highly recommend him and will use him again.

Alan came to install a new aerial and also an additional point in the dining room. He came to do the work at very short notice and the finishing was outstanding. The price was great value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending Alan from Tailor Made Installs to anyone. He even vacuumed up after all the work and had shoe covers on to ensure that there were no marks left anywhere on the floor. Very considerate!
