Swim Perfect

My son has had swimming lessons with Swim Perfect now for a couple of years. He couldn't swim when he joined and now he is a very capable, confident little swimmer thanks to Vicki and all her team. I will recommend you with no hesitation.

My Son (Oliver)originally started swimming with Vicki @ Swim Perfect when he was 4 and his confidence and ability soon increased. Unfortunately due to work commiments we had to move Oliver elsewhere, but as soon as Vicki could accomodate on a Sunday we moved him back without hesitation and 2 weeks into having lessons with Alex, Oliver is improving again already and really enjoys it and Alex is great with him. I would highly recommend Vicki and her team.

My daughter started swimming lessons with Swim Perfect just over one year ago, with little confidence and no stroke ability. She has just swam half a mile using all strokes and I cant believe her progress in one year. We are so pleased with the quality of every lesson and the speed in which she has progressed is amazing.

We are very impressed with the level of instruction for our 5 year old son. The class size is perfect, with each pupil in the water for virtually the whole of the lesson.

Though Swim Perfect is a thriving business, it has retained an atmosphere that is relaxed and intimate. The classes are small. Instructors are confident, knowledgeable and approachable. Though SwimPerfect is focused on helping the children to excel, there is also an element of fun and children have the opportunity to wear shark fins and flippers. Definately a swimming company to be recommended.

After being static for 12 months with our previous swimming lesson provider we heard about Vicki and SwimPerfect. I'm so pleased that we took the plunge and moved our daughter into these great lessons. Within two lessons she had progressed more than she had in 12 months. Vicki and her team make the small lessons (3-4 children max) fun but full of focused swimming. Our 6 year old daughter now swims over 25 metres confidently and loves every second of her lessons. We can't rate these lessons high enough and have recommended them to several friends who are equally impressed having joined up. The adult swimming lessons / training is also an added bonus and example of the calibre of this small family-run business.

My son was afraid of drowning and wouldn't go for swimming lessons unless I could go in with him. Someone recommended Swim Perfect and Vicki said it would be no problem for me to go in. I stayed in for only 10 minutes of the 1st lesson and he felt comfortable enough for me to get out. He went on to have private lessons with Vicki and in no time he was swimming independantly. He's now in group lessons (with only 4 in a group) and is perfecting his technique. He still has a little way to go to build up his stamina but is doing really well. I only wish my eldest son could have had the same opportunity he'd have loved it! A big thank you to Vicki and Hilary for all your hard work!

Vicki and the other teachers at swim perfect are all extremely professional but great with the children. The small class size make these swimming lessons very good value for money and my daugther loves them. She has progressed extremely well and I would recommend Swim Perfect to others.

My 4 year old son has come along in leaps and bounds thanks to vicky and sophie. His eyes light up when I tell him hes going swimming, he loves it and I am sure with vicky as his teacher he will become a fantatic swimmer. Cant recommened swimperfect enough.

My two 6 year old boys have been having lessons with Tom at Swim Perfect for just a term, and have progressed more in that term than they have in their previous 3 years of big group lessons. 4 in a group is perfect. All the teachers have boundless enthusiasm for little ones and Hilary is great at dealing with anxious Mums on the sidelines! I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Three of my children (age 10, 7 and 4) all enjoy lessons with Vicky. The swimming aids for younger children are lots of fun too and aid confidence for the novice child. I will certainly enrol my you gets when he is old enough too.

My son is 7 and loves going to his swimming lessons with vicki at swim perfect there are fantastic teachers and all the kids are very happy in there lessons the groups are small witch I think are much better and safer callum is learning fast and enjoys his lesson every week, thank you swim perfect your the best.

I can't recommend Vicki and the swim perfect team highly enough. My daughter, 6, and son,3, progressed fantastically under Vicki's one to one guidance who makes the lessons fun yet disciplined filling them with confidence and enthusiasm. After being static for 6 months at her previous swimming lessons there was suddenly no stopping my daughter. On my sons first lesson with Vicki I was amazed at how at ease he was with her considering he had only ever been swimming with me and not that frequently. They have since moved onto group lessons with James and 'Miss Sophie', and again they have been brilliant. My son has had a few wobbles which is to be expected at 3 and 'Miss Sophie' and Vicki have been SO supportive, thinking creatively and out of the box, nothing is too much trouble. Really well organised, lessons always running to time, efficient and friendly renewals with excellent communication from Hillary. Couldn't ask for more. And then, I can speak from experience. Vicki's enthusiasm for swimming is catching and I joined the adult class. Really motivating and my swimming has gone from strength to strength with a tailored programme each week - I can't believe that I can swim a mile of front crawl again after 20 years!Moreexpand_more

My children aged 6 and 5 love going swimming at swim perfect, they are getting more confident and i am seeing much improvement. Really pleased! .

We first met Vicky last year when she worked at Thirsk Swimming Pool. Our son was just starting lessons and luckily there were only 3 children in his group. Vicky had him swimming independently within weeks and he was really enjoying it. He was then moved up to the next stage which coincided with Vicky leaving Thirsk. Our son was now in a group with 11 other children. He did not improve and did not enjoy swimming any more. We knew Vicky had started Swim Perfect so got in touch. He is now having personal lessons with Vicky. He is doing so well again and is loving swimming again. You get a friendly welcome from both Vicki and Hillary which puts you right at ease to get the most from your lessons. Being the competent instructor she is Vicki was able to analyse and adapt training to take account of my ankle injury. I looked forward to every session which brought me closer and closer to my goal at the age of 57 to learn to swim. I have had 8 lessons and can now swim freestyle but will take a few more lessons to improve on my style.

Vicky is a true natural at teaching little ones. My little girl (5yrs) has had 5 individual lessons and has made a huge amount of progress. It feels slow to start with (the modern "broken down into small stages" way of teaching makes it feel that way) but suddenly it all comes together and she has such strength and confidence now. All down to Vicky's natural teaching talent. On top of that Vicky is as accommodating and flexible as she can be and that is such a refreshing change in the service industry nowadays. Cannot recommend her highly enough! Don't look anywhere else!

I am so glad I found Swim Perfect. My son is 7 years old and never learnt to swim because he was scared of water. I tried taking him to other swimming lessons but he won't go. He started with Swim Perfect in July and the progress he has made is unbelievable. He loves the lessons and Vicky is an excellent teacher. Now my 3 year old daughter has started lessons too!

My 3 nearly 4year old grandaughter is becoming more confident in the water and looks forward every week to her lesson will be booking more for her birthday a big thanks to vicky.

We are so lucky to have discovered Vicki's lessons. She is a great with the children and a fantastic teacher. I think the smaller class sizes also mean that the children get better quality teaching and it means the children don't get bored the way they can do in bigger classes.
