Swan Knight Distillery was founded by Peter and Claire. The name is a nod to a legendary Swan Knight, found in fairy tales across the United Kingdom and Europe. The stories recount how a knight returned from battle and was towed across a stretch of water, in a boat, by a swan. He then rescues a damsel in distress and they marry.

Swan Knight Distillery is based in Bedfordshire and has just launched its first product. A 50% ABV Golden Spice Rum with hints of vanilla, caramel and spices is proving very popular. It can be sipped over rocks, with mixers such as cola or as part of many delightful cocktails.

Peter and Claire are passionate about nature, climate and sustainability. They use local suppliers wherever possible, as this reduces transportation and carbon footprint. For example, all of the packaging is recyclable, including the glass bottles and stoppers.
